Hi Rosebud

My morning sickness varied, some days I felt completely normal some days I could hardly move so please don't read too much into how sick you feel being a bad sign.

Blondie, I hope tomorrow goes better than you think.

Dizzy, I hope your scan goes well.

Ros I hope you've had no more bad pains.

I've had no more pains but that doesn't make me feel better as with my missed m/c before I didn't have pains either, they just said at the scan that the baby's heartbeat had stopped. I don't feel sick at all really :(

I wish so much I could help you to stop focussing on the lack of sickness as being a bad sign. It so isn't.
The full force of FZ is willing there to be good news at your scan next week. That force is strong, I am sure xxxx

Thank you. I don't want to let anyone down with bad news, least of all my DH, he is being amazing and will be heartbroken. I keep thinking if we can do it with PGD how will we ever be able to get it to work. Then I try to forget about it all and pretend to be normal. I nearly bought some pate at lunchtime in the supermarket but then I remembered I couldn't.

Ros, don't think that you would be letting anyone down, although I know what you mean. Really hoping that your scan will show everything to be well and relieve your worry a little. Will be keeping everything crossed for you.
Blondie - sorry you are having a wobble, and will be thinking of you and sending loads of positive thoughts your way tomorrow.
Thanks ladies for all your good wishes - they must have worked as my scan today showed there is still a heartbeat there and all looks fine. They only did a quick external scan so you couldn't see that much and they didn't date it or anything. I'm going back again next week for another one - they have been so good there. Research does show that feeling looked after and being scanned regularly if you want it improves chances in recurrent m/c cases, and they are being so accommodating for me. If I can just past the next few weeks......
Love to all and thanks for all the support.

great news dizzyd - I've been looking out for you this evening!
It's so good you can go back next week and see the progress with your own eyes rather than just having to hope all is ok. Weird how being looked after seems to make a difference, isn't it?

oh Ros, there is no way you could ever let anyone down.

HI dizzy.. How are you doing? when is your next scan..
My 8 week scan will be on Saturday, I'm a bit teriffied but trying to calm my self down.. I freaked out last Sunday an took an appointement for a scan, everything was fine so I'm hoping Saturday will be good news aswell..

My TSH was a bit high so yesterday I went to see my endocrinologist (I have hashimoto) she has adjusted my dose, I'm a bit worried that I have waited too long to test for my thyroids but its better now than later..

I also feel very low after hearing Blondie's news.. Blondie hope you start feeling better soon..

Hope everyone else is doing well

Hello Amoona
Glad it was good news and hoping this Sat will be the same. It is only natural to feel so scared - I am going through a very wobbly phase right now too and am feeling convinced that everythings gone wrong. I have another scan tomorrow and feel far more nervous than I have done even last week. If this one is ok I'll leave it a couple of weeks but I just cant help feeling weird about it. I didnt feel sick yesterday and am just overanalysing every sign.

good luck with your scan today dizzyd.
I am sure everything will be fine this weekend AmoonA, but it is only natural to worry.

I have another midwife appt on Monday where she will listen for the HB. Just like going for a scan, I am terrified of her not being able to find it. I also know it may take her a little time to find it as my placenta is anterior so a lot of the time the baby will be hiding behind it.

Like everyone I am still feeling deflated after Blondie's news last week. It is so unfair and cruel.

Hi all
Well, my worrying and freaking out was for nothing - all is still well. I am now 10 weeks and 3 days according to the size which is about right by my calculations. It has the beginning of limb buds now apparently, although it all looked a bit blob-like to me. I have never got this far before and am just keeping everything crossed that it will be OK.
The woman at the hospital has been absolutely brilliant. I have a booking appt on Tues 28th and then see the miscarriage woman again on 31st for another scan. I can hardly dare hope that I'll make it that far - do you ever get through the terrified stage when you've had m/c s before?
Thanks again for all your support and good wishes. Good luck to Amoona on saturday and Jensqui and Rosebud on Monday - will be thinking of you all.

Oh that's wonderful news Dizzy!! :D

I was very scared and cautious through the first tri and a fair chunk of the second, I hardly dare believe it was true. But when the kicking started I started to believe it and relax but I still have a wobble every now and then. I think all of us that have had m/c's handle it differently and some seem more relaxed about it than others.

Rosebud, good luck for Monday I hope your scan goes well.

Great news dizzyd

Polly is right you will have wobbles every now and then. I found it useful to just focus on every stage and not the whole 40 weeks. So focus on 12 weeks, then the 28th and then the 31st and then each stage afterwards. Found that helped it not to become so overwhelming!!!!

Hi Suzy - of course you are more than welcome to join us!!

Have a read through this thread a bit as a few of the ladies have already shared ideas on how to cope with the worry in these early weeks.
The main thing to remember is that this is a different pregnancy and after one miscarriage there is only a tiny effect on the chances of success the next time.

the BEST news dizzyd - so pleased for you sweetheart x

good luck on Monday Rosebud x

Hi Suzy welcome honey. I am no expert, but personally I just try and take one day at a time and one stage at a time i.e. aim to get from one scan to another. I am sure as time passes we will grow more confident, but its natural for us to be scared. I worry about something most days.

I have symptoms that increase, decrease then go away and come back, try not to read too much into them. Try and stay positive and focus on your next scan.

I am sure some of the other girls will be along soon to share their wisdom, keep talking on here it really does help.

great news Dizzy hun, I am focussing on getting beyond the point where I have m/c before too, that will be a big day.
Hi Suzy, I am just 3 days different to you and can't wait for every Monday to come along so I am one more week. That's how I am getting through this. I'm having some funny pains this afternoon at my desk but the nurse did tell me this week that it would take a while for the ovaries to go down and that is the most likely cause of the pains. I also had no sore boobs yesterday but today they are back on form, so I am trying to chill out.

Good luck tomorrow Amoona, and Jens & Rosebud on Monday, I hope you all have wonderful experiences. I have to wait until Wed for my next scan, once it's Monday it won't seem far away though x

Hi Suzy

The not sore boob thing had me terrified too! Mine varied day to day, some days they felt like bricks and hurt so bad, other days they felt normal and only hurt if poked them really hard! When I got morning sickness that varied too, some days I felt like I could hardly move other days I was fine and could eat exactly what I wanted. I looked up varying pg symptoms on the net and it is so common for peoples symptoms to vary day to day which is worth considering when it's happening to you and you are worrying about it.

Hi Suzy!
The on-again, off-again pregnancy symptoms are a real killer! Its so easy to get caught up in it all and your imagination works overtime - I know its easier said than done but try to do what the others say and think of this as a whole new pregnancy and take it one week at a time. I'm really trying to do that too.
Good news that you are feeling yukky though...
Amoona - hope all goes well tomorrow.

Hi Amoona - what a horrible disappointment - you get so psyched up for it and then have to wait again. Don't woprry about the symptoms, its normal for them to come and go.
Good luck for today - let us know how you got on.

great news AmoonA :D now take it easy!!

Not sure what time your scan is Rosebud, but hope to hear from you soon with good news xx

Saw the midwife and all is well. Baby's heartbeat was strong and 150 bpm. Only heard it for a few fleeting seconds though as it clearly doesn't like being poked about and as soon as she found it, off it scarpered!!
