Weight gain during 1st trimester

Is there somewhere that says what the average weight gain is/should be during pregnancy.

I know that each person is different etc etc etc... but just looking for a rough guide of some sort.

I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and I think I've put on about 3lbs. I'm wondering if that's normal or if it's just the result of not going to the gym?? :snigger:

no cupcakes unfortunately... but I did just have to break into my emergency quavers cos I was so hungry! :snigger:

My belly has never quite been flat anyway, but it's definitely a different shape today.

I've put on about 6lbs so far and I'm only 9 weeks!! My tum is definietly sticking out and harder and a different shape, I did get mild OHSS though so that may account for some of it ?(. If all goes well with my scan next week (at 10+2) I might get brave and post a pic :shush: When's everyone else hoping to start their bump pic collection? Will you post them?

Hi all, just thought i would pop in and see how you first tri girls are doing.

May i just say cupcake 3lbs sounds like nothing extreme. I think i put on about 10lbs in the first tri. I was 9st when i feel pg and the day before i gave birth to my beautiful girl i was 11st 10lbs. So as you can see i put on nearly 3st.
Most people i know who have been pg have put on, on average, between 1st 7lbs and 3st 7lbs. But then again my cuz only put on 1st 3lbs and my mate terri put on 6st! So who can say what our bodies will do during pregnancy. Just remember that as long as you eat healthy (with the odd treat, coz we all need those ) your boby will do what it needs to do during your pregnancy.

Hope that helps x x x
