Could go either way for us now

Not been a very good day :( started bleeding bright red blood this morning so phoned the clinic and they told me to come in for an early scan.

Internal scan revealed 1 very tiny sac/heartbeat 3mm.

I have to basically "wait and see what happens" and go back for another scan in a week's time but they said that it could go either way over the next few days.

Been bleeding quite heavily throughout the day with a long dark clot & cramps lower down so not looking good at the moment.

Our 1st scan was meant to be in 4 days time

Thanks ladies for all of your kind messages of support

Today I have had small amounts of dry dark brown stuff - but no sign of the heavier bright red blood that was there yesterday. Still got some crampy pain.

Feel as if I'm going mad as don't know what to think & probably no point in doing any pregnancy tests for a few days.

Will keep you updated on what happens. Thanks again for your support x

Hi, this morning bleeding about same as yesterday still dark brown when I wipe (sorry if TMI) more like spotting/staining but not that much of it.

The bloating seems to have started to go down as well so don't know if that's a bad sign or if it's meant to go down yet - think they said from the 2nd month. The pulling/stretching feeling at night has reduced and boobs don't feel as heavy as they were so all these things are making me paranoid.

Not doing a pregnancy test today as it's our wedding anniversary! but have decided to do one tomorrow (good job I've got 5 tests left.)

Think we're going to go out for an early pub lunch soon then out for dinner tonight so gonna try to take our minds off it & put it off until tomorrow (& hope that the bleeding stays the same or stops.)

Take care for now ladies x

Hi ladies,

Tried doing a pregnancy test this morning and it didn't work! so spent the day panicking whether or not to do another one or wait until tomorrow.

Anyway just got home and have ended up doing another test and it has come up positive. So it looks like there may still be a bit of hope left. xfingers

I think that if I have miscarried it must have happened on Friday when the bleeding was bright red & heavier as since then there has just been small amounts of brown stuff & brown sticky discharge. What I'm worried about is in case the HCG levels haven't reduced enough between then and now & the positive result is false if you see what I mean?

Will be back for further updates this week x

Hi there - I dont want to sound negative (believe me I dont) but I continued to have positive tests for many weeks after each of my miscarriages. I pray that this is not the case for you though.

hi hon, any news?

the one thing to be careful of it the HPT though as the hormones can stay in your body for 6 weeks. You need to get yourself another scan as soon as you can.

Can you go to EPU near you? mine was brilliant xxxxx

Hi, just a quick post as I'm at work!
Not much to report - it has more or less all stopped now, just a bit of discharge this morning. Still got a few crampy pains.

Scan is on Friday at 8.30. I was meant to be having my 1st scan today (which would have been 7 week scan) however after Friday's episode they changed the date from today to Friday to allow plenty of time to see what happens. I can wait a few more days.

I'm not going to do any more tests now after what some of the ladies have mentioned about the hormone still being in my system for a few weeks. That was what I was worried about so am trying to just keep my mind off it all until Friday as I know I can't do anthing now to change the outcome. I have booked the day off work on Friday.

Take care for now x

Hunny,

Its right about the levels of HCG but because you are so early they would go down quite quick so I am holding on to that hope.

I will have everything crossed for you on Friday.

Hi ladies just got back home from scan after a very sleepless night.

The good news is that there is still hope as he's still in there & growing.

However the not so good news is that there is quite a large area of blood (like a clot) next to it which they said is likely to appear at some point so still at risk of miscarriage. I have to take it easy & go back in a week's time for another scan.

Feel reassured that they are going to keep scanning me. Fingers crossed.

Take care everyone x
