WOW! Feeling shocked & blessed....TWINS!!!

I got my BFP from my 2nd ICSI (well 1st full cycle actually, 1st one was cancelled before EC) a couple of weeks ago. I had an early scan today as I had some stabbing cramps (different to my usual ones) followed by waking up to a los of all my other symptoms. I called the clinic and they were great and saw me within the hour!! At scan I found out I have TWINS!!!! :D :D

I'm feeling all the things I guess you all know well.....wow, I'm blessed, oh my goodness, gosh how am I going to cope, I so hope they stick with me, I hope they are healthy, yipeeee etc etc I would love to chat to others x

PS I have another scan a week tomorrow as they could just see a 'flicker' in each sac and hope to see a nice strong heartbeat with a few more days growing

Hi Lexie

Yes, they are CFL bubs! We've got a scan there on wednesday then all being well we'll be discharged back to NHS. Can you give me some advise as to what I could expect next? Did you have your girls at the RVI?

Hi Twinkle.
I had my seven week scan with the CFL who confirmed the twin pregnancy and my expected delivery date. I then was discharged to normal maternity care. I visited my GP and confimed my preganncy and the midwife came out for my booking in appointment at 8 weeks and basically just took bloods, family history etc.

I had my twins at Sunderland but at 14 weeks you go to the RVI for a nuchal scan which is free if ure expecting twins, I think you have to pay for it if youre expecting a singleton. I also had my 3 month dating scan then I didnt have another till 20 weeks. TBH up until 20+ weeks you get treated the same as a singleton pregnancy unless thy're identical twins whivh mine were'nt.

The CFL were fab mind and they were one of the first people I rang when I had the twins. I'm going to send a photo in to them when I get round to it.

Any questions feel free to ask and good luck with the pregnancy.
