Heavy boobies

Hi all

Well this is my first of no doubt many threads on this part of FZ!

Since 3 weeks and 3 days I have been having really bad boob pain, even before BFP. In the night I woken up crying with it. I went to mothercare today to get some non-wired bras and sleep bras.

The woman who measured me and helped me try on asked me 'how far along are you?' - once I realsed she mean me (:O ) I said 4 weeks 2 days!! very precise, you know.

she then said "your breasts seem very heavy for only that far along!"

I have gone up from a D to E (missed DD completely)!!!

Also have had morning sickness for about 4 days and threw up today.

Do you think it could be twins? :8o:

I don't think it makes any difference BG how heavy your boobs are. Some womens expand early on and stay that way, some expand in the last few eeks of pregnancy, some just grow gradually thro-ought (how do I spell threw-out!). You could be having twins but I don't think increase in breast size is much of an indication.

Well I won't worry you about the fact that they might never go back to their pre pregnancy size!

HI BG- congrats! I posted some thoughts on yr BFP thread. As regards twins- you won't know until the scan. A scenario is Jane April and I who had very similar HCG levels on the same day in our pregnancies- I was as sick as a pig and boobs were killing- she had no symptoms at all back then. Turns out she's having twins and I'm carrying a singleton! So you never can tell. As regards the boobs- are they really so bad that you're in tears? It might be an idea to check with yr doc if so. Mine feel like they're bruised and it's amazing how many knocks they take that you don't notice before. I have gone up a bra size and they do feel heavy. Try ginger for your sickness. I got ginger biccies and they helped a wee bit. x

Congratulations!!!

My boobs got huge the minute I became pregnant the 1st time.... and just kept getting bigger - started a 34B and went up to 38E before milk came in then 38G once it did.
Like mrsjasper mentioned, they never returned to pre pregnancy size, but didn't stay so giant either!
I quite enjoyed the big boobs since I'd always been on the small side and my tummy didn't look pregnant until about 5 months along ...kept catching sight of myself in shop windows and not recognising myself!

I am panicking this time around cos my boobs have only got ever so slightly bigger but not so you'd notice.... I am, hopefully, 7w 2d into pregnancy #3 (scan next week to confirm!) so I'd have expected bigger boobs by now. Maybe it is since I only quit breastfeeding #2 just under a year ago.

Enjoy your big boobs (..?...that sounds wrong!)...I see it as a really good sign that all's well.x

Thanks ladies!! they feel better in the day now i have a decent maternity bra. the one at night is still not great and for some reason they hurt me more then.

I will mention to midwife on wednesday but I am sure its just nothing out of the normal.

At the moment any sign (like sikness I have) and boobies etc is just great as I at least feel like I am pregnant.

Hi, glad you are getting a little more comfort in the day time!

I found I couldn't wear a bra at night time as it felt quite uncomfortable. In fact I recall that by the end of the day I was desperate to get the day time bra off and get into my pj's so I could feel more comfortable...as long as I was sitting still, wearing no bra was the most comfortable for me in the end.....hmmm....maybe that's why they are heading south now!

Bravissimo do a jim jam top with a bra inside it. Its not a maternity one but it should keep them in check when you turn over in bed.

Hi BG

Shock absorber do a tight vest thing designed for light exercise.

I've taken to wearing my sports bra on a night as they are sooooo painful. I was a 34G to start off with and now feeling like a proper porn queen!

Good luck

Hi Girls
I know this may sound a little odd but my sister told me that she got mastitis when she was pregnant and an old wives tale is to put cold cabbage leaves on your boobs - she said it was the best thing she ever did; she had tried all the creams, etc but nothing worked only the cold cabbage leaves (just put cabbage in the fridge and let them get cool).

Just a thought. :innocent:

Zim, I think that works for when you have that when breast feeding, not at this stage. I could be wrong :O

I have just been to the loo and looked at my boobs in the mirror - my god - that is one scary momma!!! :8o:
