Hey Dooey,

Really glad the dose increased has helped you follies. Will keep xfingers you have more by Friday.

I hope your not too exhausted from xmas shopping, make sure you take time to relax as well.

So how is Banchory - how far is that from Aberdeen?

I am away for a few days (Inverurie, so not far from Aberdeen - being sad and will start to get an idea on journey time) so wanted to say good luck with EC on Friday blowkiss that it goes well for you.

Hey dooey, that sounds really promising, will have xfingers for you this weekend. Hope you get a chance to take it easy and get a break from that crimbo shopping!

I've been pretty fed up this week My cycles are always short, 21-24 days, but I've never had a 14 day cycle before. Dunno what's going on, but my next appointment is on the 8th so hope to get some answers soon.

How's it going with everyone else?
Everything going well so far with the stimms Andrea?

I agree with you girls too about the driving, I'm like Mrs Schumacher during the day in the car but as soon as it gets dark I turn into a big feartie, slamming on the brakes for no good reason. What time does your info night start Pamela? If it's after rush hour at least the road will be nice and quiet.

Hope you have a great weekend away Jane, with not too much snow :D

Hey guys,

Moogle - hope you get a few things sorted at your appointment. It can be so concerning and just plain weird whn AF acts up (wheter regular or not).

Andrea - always good to find out where to stay (i know i will have the same questins in a few months :D). Any news yet on how things will go with work?

it has been quiet on here for a while - sorry i havent been on much, but im recovering from the good god when will it be my turn blues.

Kind of hoping there will be snow as so so pretty - just dont want it for driving. the last time we drove from Glasgow we hit a blizzard at Dalwhinnie and was in tears by the time i managed to pul over for for DH to drive - dark and snow so not good.

Anyway, hope everyone has a good weekend

Speak to you all soon

Feeling really tured now but last injection was last night to mature the eggs, so hope all ik for tomorrow..

Hi ladies
Well EC this morning, went ok. I was really anxious but the dr said she wud give me extra drugs. Anyway I can't remember a thing. Hubby filled me in I was complaining it was sore so they topped me up weird that I can't remember

They got 6 eggs :-) so I was relieved about that.

Bit sore now but like period pains more than anything else. Doesn't help having been in the car now for 2.5 hrs just gonna stop for lunch.. Sleepy!!

Tomorrow they will phone to let me know how many fertilised!!

How's everyone else?

Thanks girls home now, in fluffy robe and baileys in hand, it will be the last for the TWW anyway!

Journay was not great might try and fly again for implantation its so much easier - just a bit of a bother if the weather aint great!..

Yeah 6 eggs is good I spose, not feeling very positive, but what will be will be!..

Hows the stimms going Celt Chick

Oh I meant to say Banchory was not a great place to stay really, its a bit far out, a good hour to get into the hosp this morning.

It all happened so quick, they had put a thing in my arm for drugs and then took me through and I put my legs up , they put disinfectinct on my..flower and then I remember nothing else bar being wheeled through to day ward haha.. glad they put plenty of sedative in

But then I have been so tired this week all i needed was a soft pillow.. haha

Hiya celtchicky
I amok this morning, still a bit tender but nothing to worry about at all. Had a lovely sleep.

I'll be on tenderhooks until they phone.

THe flighs are horrendous, sometimes you get lucky but i looked into flights for monday/tues and they are dear, but then i am not relishing that journey again specially in this weather. oh dear

When is your bloods in Inverness? Monday?

Snow never lasts long so hopefully, i have booked a travel lodge for sun night in case of egg transfer on monday but can soon move it. it would good for ET on Monday as it fits in with hubbys work!..

What a juggling act!

Any side effects from stimms?

Feel bit worn out and been shopping again, heading out to airport can't wait to get home shud be home by 6pm.

I have to say had a terrible night last night and tum is really swollen they said that was normal and not to worry, its quite uncomfortable.

Andrea you can't have too long to go now til EC.
My info night next Monday looking forward to it, will feel more real once I get to meet everone, my dr is dr hamilton anyone else got him?
Then my 1st apt on 5th Jan, they called DH in for another SA, its a bit strane as we already have some frozen but they want another fresh one for some reason but at least they made it same day so we don't have to make 2 trips.
Getting so close to xmas, anyone starting present hunting yet?

hey pamela

not long til your info night after all, i couldnt remember when it was. you should do a ticker!!! as you can see i couldnt be without mines, it helps keep me up-to-date with how long ive got!! dont know when EC is myself, hoping next week all going well. finally getting closer, but still feel its happening to someone else

my DB had to do another sample too, but it doesnt make sense when you have some frozen. hes getting his sample done for freezing on wednesday, so im getting my day 8 bloods done in aberdeen instead of inverness, saves both of us travelling to different places on the same day!

yeah ive actually got alot of my presents. did that last weekend when i was in aberdeen with my folks. still got quite abit to get yet tho. it helps that my eldest nephew wants money, hes nearly 15 so makes things easier as i never know what to get him.

Hey all,

Dooey, i hope your ET went well and that you are feeling ok - put your feet up and relax as much as possible :D :dancing: your PUPO!!!!!!!!!!

Andrea - you just sound so organised with the xmas pressies thing, i have a few but stuck for others.

Pamela - not long now til your info night clap so so exciting.

Its strange hearing how you guys think it all seems so unreal, in a way talking to you guys makes it seem more real for me, by the time it is me though im sure i will be back in the unreal space. :snigger:

So do most blokes have to do more SA when things start at Aberdeen? my DH has had 3 during our investigations, 1 in Livingston before we moved (good), and 2 in Inverness, one was poor but we think thats cause he got lost trying to find the drop off point and they all died as he was pretty late past the 'time window' :snigger:, and the last one was good.

There seems to be so much i am learning / questionning every day - who would have thought it would be this complicated to make a baby :innocent:

hey Jane my Dh had 3 during investigations too 1st was good, 2nd poor and 3rd we froze so I'm sure why they want another just got phone call saying the fertility doctor said it would be a good idea? I guess another one not going to hurt but its not very nice for him as we do SA in hospital, don't know how I would get on if I was put in a room with a mag and told to perform lol

It also seems very unreal to me too, I guess cuz it's been so long I've always looked at it so far in future I can't get my head round its very soon.
And with xmas coming up its just going to fly by for me and you Jane.

I'm def going to mention to girls on info night about this site, been a very big help for me

Hey, just wanted to check in and say hi. Not getting online much at all now as my wonderful employer (NHS Grampian) has now deemed this site "inappropriate" and has blocked access
Pamela, maybe when you mention it at your info night they'll decide to unblock it!

Dooey, that's fantastic about your ET, what an exciting time this must be for you! Hope you're taking it easy and feeling a bit better today.

How's everyone else? Sounds like things are really moving along now. Roll on 2009 I say!

dooey - great news about your blasto. you must feel more relaxed now. loving the ticker.

well my bloods were fine today, so im to continue on the same dose of stimms drugs, and then scan on friday. fingers crossed everything is ok as not feeling so sore and uncomfy today. asked if we might have to be seen at the weekend and she said maybe, so need to pack a case which is no mean feat for me. hairdryer, straighteners and all my products take up so much room!!!

hope your fine too pamela?

Howdy all,

Hey Jane so sorry to hear your sad news, Hope you and DH both doing ok. :flowerbasket:

Andrea great news that stimms going well do you have a date for EC? everything getting soooo exciting :footy: :weehee:
I hate to ask but what is blasto? (still learning)

Finally got AF so got my bloods done today so they results should all be ready for my 1st apt,
Unfortunatly I've put on 5lb in last 2 weeks :snigger: sshh he he, I think I started celebrating xmas a little too early with all the sweeties going round work and didn't help I found a extremely large tin of Roses I had thought I'd got rid of from our anniversary, so once I found them of course I couldnt let them go to waste.

But no i've really got to nuckle down and get some more weight off, Im at what doctor wants but I wanted to get down as much as possible, don't want TX delayed just cuz I ate too much sweeties.

Also unfortunatly I crashed my car into a wall, knocking it down in the process and now have a rather large scratch down front of it, I don't know what the hell I was doing and its not giving me much confidence for my dark driving on Monday lol

oh me I don't know??

Jane not long for you now I'm keeping xfingers you get your pack in before xmas, be a lovely present for you.

And dooey you might have a very good xmas pressie, I really hope so.

night night xx

Wow, there's so much going on just now!

Andrea, hope everything goes/went well today, looking forward to hearing all about it.

Dooey - been keeping xfingers for you during your 2WW! That's great you've got a wee weekend away, something else to think about.

Good luck with the info night tonight Pamela, hope you find out all you need to know. Will they give you any idea about when you'll start Tx do you think? Sorry to hear about your wee prang by the way, hope not too much damage to you or car!

Jane, how are you getting on? Sorry to hear sad news about your DH's gran, hope you're both doing ok.

Not much happening with me. At least this cycle looks like being longer than last one though (couldn't be much feckin shorter!). And I finished all my Crimbo shopping, apart from DH - going into town to get his on Friday. I'm feeling so smug 88) right now but will probably be really bored come the middle of Dec and end up buying more tat for everyone!

:hello:

im back and im shattered :yawning: been wakened since 0200 as couldnt sleep anymore. left at 0415, arrived 0815, then went for breakie at sainsburys. yummy!!! only in and out of scan in 15mins. all that for 15mins :scream:

well my lining is 9.2mm (good the nurse said). if i mind right i had 4follies on the right, and 5follies on the left, ranging from 14-21mm each. EC is booked for thursday at 0830

got to take my meds as normal today and tomorrow, as well as the HCG injection at 2030. she said i had to take the Menopur aswell as she hoped the littler follies would catch up abit. get a day off the meds then on wednesday. what will i do? :hmm:

dooey - how was the E/C? im abit concerned as going it alone due to DB's fears of hospitals and needles. hows the 2WW?

pamela - good luck tonight. hope you get all the info you need

moogle - how are you? aint you good doing all your shopping, ive done alot but by nowhere near done yet

Hiyaaaaaaaaa

Phew your back.. ! Do you know you were the first person I thought of this morning heading to work and thanking the stars that it wasnt frosty! biggrin2

Thats good news about the follies.. You will do nothing on Wednesday end of injections :thumbsup2:

Tell DB to get in that ward with you!.. honestly! :innocent: Its the only time I needed him there, you will be drowsy but tell them to give you plenty so you dont remember a thing and that will be ok hopefully very strange. I take it he will be there when you come back through? Try not to worry there is nothing you can do about it..

2WW is ok sherlock - or was until I heard the news of one or two early testing BFPs I was temped to do it before the weekend, but I am really busy with work and have a weekend away coming up so i am not thinking about it too much..

I stayed down for the week but in hindsight maybe I should have done what you have done.. its very stressful tho!.. Specially if they want you back tomorrow and you have no accommodation booked.!

Roll on Thursday.. thats good size follies better than mine so thats great [zx014]

Hi all,

Sorry not been on much recently - was down in Erskine since DHs gran died, today was funeral so home now and back to work tomorrow. Think it helped DHs mum having us there to take her mind off things (prob sounds weird but i get on so so well with my in laws).

Sounds like loads happening on here.

Dooey - Not long now til test day, i can barely imagine how tempting it must be to test early (if not pee on a stick daily :snigger:), will be keeping xfingers crossed for you hun.
its good you are keeping busy and spending time with friends etc, will hopefully make the time go faster for you. :D

Andrea - all exciting for you, follie numbers sound fab and wishing you so so much luck on Thursday, i hope it goes well, try and relax, as Dooey says im sure you will be quite drowsy and hopefully not be in any pain.

Pamela - i hope the info session tonight went well and the drive wasnt too bad for you. I bet you are now all set with loads of info as well as a few questions im sure :snigger:

Moogle - glad your having a bit longer a cycle, can be so so annoying when AF plays silly buggers with you.

Hope everyone had a really good weekend, hows everyones xmas shopping going? we are getting there but loads still to do, actually i think its the birthdays im now stuck with (best mate, SIL and FIL all in Dec :pullhair: - hahahaha actually who am i to talk :snigger:).

Take care all

Hey all

So good to come on and catch up on everyone's news, look forward to coming on here and seeing how everyone is getting on.

Moogle well done on getting all your shopping done already, you must be the most organised person in the world lol, I've got a few things but still the worst ones to get.. DH, mum etc etc lol

Andrea I am so so so chuffed for you thats ace, so EC all arranged and everything looking fine, just a shame you had to get up so early but at least you got ood news out of it.

Dooey if I get to your stage I don't know if I could resist the early test lol, Think thats will be hardest part of 2ww actually waiting the 2weeks lol but well done you for keeping busy, I'm sure its all going to pay off for you xx

Jane hope funeral went ok, Its great you get on well with inlaws and sure DH mum appreciated you being there.

Well thats the info night over, I was poopin myself all the way there in car and as I expected didn't get full beam on at all on way there, I hope I never ever have to do that again lol but I'm glad I went, met dr Hamilton, seems to be a really nice guy, and a lab guy and a nurse who quickly showed the medication, hope i get glonel f, the powder stuff looks really complicated and got a needle home with me to practice on an orange lol.

Jane you will enjoy it, it was much what i expected there was about 18 couples there all looking terrified like myself, its weird to think so much couples have trouble with fertility, I always felt like the only one in world but seeing everyone else there made me realise im not alone,
They start with a talk and a powerpoint on screen explaining all treatment and ideal cycle of ivf then continue on for a tour of unit and you get some juice and a biscuit, didn't ask any questions I knew most things from being on here but did learn what a blasto was lol

anyway think Iv rambled on enough now

hope to hear from you all real soon
