Bursting at the seams!

I'm only 6 weeks tomorrow but my work pants are straining at the seams!

I did have a jelly belly before but this has grown in such a short time! I might need a trip to ASDA to purchase some bigger pants!

Does this sound right for such a short way through??

You may find that you put on a bit in the first tri, stay constant in second tri and in third tri put on again. Don't forget to get measured for bra size too!

Hey, bring on the baggy jumpers, as long as they do the same job and make you comfortable, thats the main thing!

hey Dyan, dont feel bad honestly, its ok, and you are not wittering on at all, its nice to have other people to talk to and express concerns with.

yep, thank goodness for jumper dresses hey, i would love to get a pair of skinny jeans in maternity size, as i lived in them prepregnancy.

It certainly does help to be able to talk to other people!

At this stage i am still knicker watching, but i have read that women get more vaginal discharge during pregnancy! I think that is what makes things so hard, so many early symptoms of pregnancy feel like af is coming!

Im sat here now with a hot water bottle against my lower back, honestly I am not a hypochondriac, but suddenly this really bad ache developed since i got home from work.

The pains and twinges are mind numbing, it so hard knowing what to think, if only we could stop analysing, but thats hardly likely as we all want this so much!

i constantly knicker check too, its normal, i also have a lot more (sorry tmi here) mucas, but checked on the net and says its normal; i think all our worries are normal as we have been through so much to get to this point, i was sat next to a colleague the other day at someones leaving party, she is six months pregnant (she does not know about me) and she was eating unpasteaurised cheese and peanuts, she said i know i shouldnt but......... she told everyone she was pregnant the day she found out, oh to have such confidence hey!!!! xxxxx

That also makes me feel much better, everytime i feel a bit of discharge i run to the loo! But also checked on net too and found it was normal!

One of my friends had her 2nd unplanned child last February and drank spirits all the way the way through her pregnancy!

Is so annoying isnt it?

But i would prefer to be like us!

Ladies
Sorry to butt in.... have you heard about the belly expander things, they were fab for me and I could wear normal clothes ( with a longer top ) up until about 5-6 months.
I'll try and google it but I got mine from a maternity place..

http://www.fromheretomaternity.co.uk/ite…-99-+-Free-Gift!-converts-your-normal-clothes-into-maternity-wear--BellyBelt.html.

they were really handy.

Hello....

Busting at the seems could have something to do with the drugs you have been taking on your TX or just palin old pregnancy weight gain.

It will settle itself out into a gradual weight gain over the Tri's or a massive gain then subside.

I gained next to mothing in my 1st tri, 2nd tri a small bit and have roughly stayed the same weight all the way the last hurdle 3rd tri.

Also have you tried BELLY BANDS? they are great, I had a few when I couldn't bear that fact that I couldn't fasten my skinny jeans. Its like a massive head band that you step into, pull up over your pants and it hides your exposed belly and open pants.

H&M have them in Black & White and I'm not sure if Zara's amternity range have them.

http://www.ingridandisabel.com/ <-------Just some info and to see what they look like

try Amazon, they also have them.

Thats a brill idea, i will deffo look out for some of them as i have to say i find most maternity clothes a bit frumpy/old fashioned, i was looking for skinny jeans yesterday and could not find any, lots of flowery dresses/tops if your into that sort of stuff :D

MrsA, you got it bang on there! Bella Bands are the real deal! I tried other makes but the bella bands were the best!
I wore my normal jeans until 25 weeks or so and then got my maternity jeans.
Could even get away with normal trousers after that but the jeans were so good that there was no reason!

I could look un-pregnant until 24 weeks with the bella bands :D

Edited to say that follow MrsA's link! Bella Bands beats all other belly bands!

Glad I could help and hope they treat you as well as they did me.

Torisen, i was the same for ages with mine, it saved me loads of cash in expensive maternity garb the first 6months.

TBH I've been living in one pair of maternity jean and a pair of baggies!!

Paris: try H&M if you have one, i'm sure they do a kind of straight leg maternity jean.

Just found this thread girls but I'm on board too. I'm just 7 weeks and at the clinic the other day they weighed me and I've lost 5 pounds! BUt belly is massive- I keep talking to people and notice their eyes wander down to it! I'm only a size 8/10. I'm wondering if its just everything thickening up and expanding that's causing this extra pot!

Hi Emma,

I cant possibly beleive that I can be showing at such an early stage, but as some ladies have said it could still be from the effects of the ivf and all the punishment my ovaries have been through!

I am already wearing baggy clothes as i dont want people noticing yet as not plannign on telling people at work until i am 12 wks!

I would say about 5 months, but I am not an expert! But lots more than 10 weeks, i think most people would agree to that!
