diarrhoea and feel sicky

i have had a strange pain in my belly button area on and off for most of the day - didnt think much of it. have been feeling a bit sick on and off for two days but again it comes and goes and didnt think much of it as it happens once or twice a day and passes...now i have diarrhea ...everything always happens at night!!!!!!!!

not sure if i have eaten something strange, but havent eaten anything that dh or my family havent - they are all ok - but its the wave of pain in my belly thats making it think like its the baby - happened about 5 times today lasting a few seconds...

now the loose motions..twice in half an hour...sorry if tmi....

any ideas?

do you normally have a quite a robust constitution? (sorry for the 19th century phrasing there!) i find that i'm quite susceptible to small tummy bugs even when it doesn't affect anyone around me.

:) - ususally pretty robust! - just was strange - normally with the squirts i have a sense of urgency to go etc - this was just pretty casual and then boom - my MIL has a habbit of over spicing which seems to upset me a little now and then (had dinner at hers), but nothing like this.

maybe it was all the talk of her taking leave and coming to stay! - do appreciate it and i get on with her - but wow.....thats a lot to digest! :)

yeah, that would have made me run to the toilet as well !!
could just be you're a little more sensitive with the baby. movements sound like the baby definitely didn't appreciate the extra zing! a friend of mine found she couldn't eat strawberries after about 6 months - baby was not at all impressed and got a bit restless. baby is now a toddler and still has no time for strawberries - quite interesting isn't it?

Glad you're feeling better now. It was probably just something you ate but it's worrying when you get any sudden changes and especially as it can be quite tricky to tell where abdominal pain is coming from.

If you're ever worried in the future you can give NHS Direct a call. Sometimes just speaking to a nurse can make you feel loads better.

dont want to scare you hun, but I too had loose bowels around 32 weeks and tried to pass it off, but it was the first sign of premature labour for me, so please, if you are worried and your instinct says it isnt right, then please please see a midwife for a check-up.

loose bowels and tummy pains can be a sign of early labour contractions.
