Skin

Oh my word

My skin is horrendous!!! I feel like a teenager all over again and it is showing no signs of abating..

I put make up on but an hour later it has started to slide off because my skin is so greasy. Normally i have normal and very clear skin, so i can't believe no one has asked me if i am pregnant because of my skin - its that bad!!!!

I am drinking loads of water and using different facial products but to no avail. Any words of wisdom welcome..

I cant help you, I'm the same at the moment, greasy skin with lovely bloody spots everywhere, its awful.

I hope that cleansing, toning and moisturising twice a day would be enough!!

GL - your spots are on your lip and cheeks. Mine are at the side of my nose and really bad at my chin.

My friend that i haven't seen in 4 months said 'wow look at the state of your skin, i have never seen you with even the smallest spot'. Gee, thanks mate!!!!

Do you sleep with make up on??

Do you ever remember Biactol - that stuff was ace for spots, it used to burn and sting but it done the trick, not sure if they even do that even more, i used to use it when I was 15, 15years ago lol :8o: I feel old

I got spots too, and they were bigger at the start of the prgnancy but are now just coming up in little pimples, I read in my baby book and it says not to use anything like clearosil or anything, Its not oily, I never had oily skin anyway its always been dry. I noticed that in places were there is no spots its really soft and smooth, has anyone noticed that abut their skin?

Hi Becky

I've always had oily skin so I use clearasil as part of my twice daily routine, otherwise my face would be worse than what it is!!!

Everywhere else is very smooth, I've never really had a problem anywhere else though thinking about.

Hi ladies,

well lol you're going to hate me lmao cos my skin seems to have gone lovely :pout

Touch wood that is

I don't wear much makeup, not in the house anyway. If I go out it's a case of a bit of lipstick , mascara and eye liner.

Don't worry though girls it's the hormones. The best thing I can recommend is maybe cleansing regularly and not wearing makeup if you can help it. The spots will go.. it's just in the 1st tri with some many chemcal changes going on within the body.

Ooops I pressed send then and I hadn't finished lol.

I was going to add..... maybe eat lots of fruit and fresh veg too. Don't let it get you down though chuckettes.. they WILL disappear!

Also the change in the waether doesn't help much either!Use a gentle skin tonic like Nivea and nothing perfumed on your skin.

And Yes, the weather is crap, its changing seasons again!!!

Its freezing cold here of a morning to the point all the cars are frosty and you can see youor breath.

Then you get to work and the air con is a BIG   for your skin
then its boiling hot through the day when i go for dinner
then cools rapidly on the way back home
Back home the heating on

Its a nasty vicious circle pah

Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of year though

Lisa
Thank you for your helpful advice that your skin is already glowing. Such a mate!!!!
I am eating really well most of the time and drinking loads of water.

Mrs A
I was using cream for my spots, but on closer reading, its actually a big no no.

I read that if you had bad skin as a teenager, then it is much more likely to have crappy skin in pregnancy. There is the answer then...
My skin feel like it has been dunked in a chip pan, its that greasy. Oh roll on the 2nd trimester..

Tracey, so help me here, I'm a little confused....

I only ever use facial scrub (by clean and clear) and my toner is by clean & clear, I'm not using any special spot cream - I've never had bad skin as a teenager, only get the odd spot when I'm due on a period/hormonal. (not that the spots bother me) but if I've always used clean and clear scrub/toner, I should be ok to continue wiht them right? (Squeezing is now my new thing :8o: )

Mrs A

You are funny 'squeezing is my new thing'.

I'm, sure that your creams are fine to use, the one i was using was a medicated one so its not safe to use in pregnancy. If you are worried, look at the contents and then look up the internet to see if they are able to be used in pregnancy.
What on earth are did we ever do without good old google..

My skin is still horrid, but if thats all i've got to worry about, its cool..

WELL

Not surprisingly, my friend has asked why my skin is so bad?? The worst of it is that she didn't ask me, she asked my sister. My sister said i have been under the weather..

Let the rumours begin..
