SCANS - QUESTIONS AND CHAT

Hi Guys

We had our 12 week scan yesterday, and was very worried about it as had managed to convince myself something was wrong as had not felt pg symptoms for a while. But saw baby and everything fine!

I just can't believe it! Little mite was asleep and refused to wake up so sonographer had me rolling around to encourage it. Saw the little one roll over and then get back into original position, as if protesting being rudely woken up!
DH said nothing but i could tell he was over the moon, and both sets of granparents got copies of scan. I actually feel safe enought to let work in on the secret, although I'm sure some of them know 'cos of my early frequent dashes to the loo to be sick! Was so pleased I allowed myself a trip to Bluewater to get some maternity trousers as mine are digging in me, but it proving a mission!

Must go and do some work!

Cheers guys

I'm having to resort to the internet for maternity trousers! Why oh why are they so hard to find?? Have tried M&S, DP's, New Look, Mothercare etc but all the do is jeans or combat pants and i can't wear them for work. Any body got any ideas?

Hiya ruby,

I dont know about the scan yet, Im 9 weeks and 5 days today and counting, Im also nervous about the scan but excited too especially after reading your post, I told my dp about it when he came home from work. I have had my midwife appointment already and I got another one booked and she sent off for my scan but I have not heard from them yet. fingers crossed it wont be much longer now. xxx

Thats great news Ruby - bless baby!

Peacocks and New Look have maternity clothes and I think Top Shop also. Hope you find some soon - I have resorted to maternity skirts as the trousers were too long and I haven't got round to finding a pair yet - when it stops being warm I think.

Got my 12 week scan date

I think they've budged me in due to my age :rolleyes:

and existing BP problems as the Doc said they are only scanning from 14-16 weeks due to a backlog.

I've filled in their questionnaire and sent it off. It was very in depth - wanted to know everything (including inside leg measurements) :snigger:

Let's hope all will be well at the scan!

10 week scan

Hi girls, just had my ten week scan and everything was great!!!!! i am so happy, it was amazing. The difference from the last scan is unreal, he is now a proper little baby, we even saw him moving around; waving arms and legs, i cried but hey who cares, got loads of pictures so will try attach one.

thanks Teresa, am really happy, will try post them at work tomorrow. you are going to be so amazed when you go for your twelve week scan, honestly its fab, even at ten weeks you could see everything, little nose and legs and arms moving around, the only slight niggle was she said my cervix was short, so they would keep an eye on it and might stitch it up if they have any concern, am not worried though will just wait for ,my next scan. take care hunni. x

Aww thanks hunni , when i saw bean last it was a tiny blob with a heartbeat so to see a full body is gonna be so amazing... I hope they do keep an eye on the cervix situation as you dont need that worry do you...

he most deffo wont be a blob hun, he will be a perfectly formed little person, make sure you get lots of piccys for us.

yeah was a bit shocked when she said that as had no problem with that in my first pregnancy, unless that hospital just never picked it up, i think this hospital is watching me like a hawk because of my history, so thats some comfort.

Yeah and its good there vigilent as some of them arent so at least you know your in good hands...I will get lots of pics as i think my mother in law would proberly like one so we might see if we can get some extra copys were pay for them if we have to...

Well my belly has turned from a slant to a bulge and it seems to be under my belly button and i have a jelly belly and the bottom part of the jelly belly seems to have got bigger too , does that help if not ill PM you my belly pics for your eyes only hehe

LOL, well the old wifes tale is if its a girl its all around for a boy its all upfront, my first was a boy and was all up front, this time i am all around, so think its a girl, i also think its the amount of fertility drugs i have taken in the past too thats changed my shape. :snigger:

a woman i work with is six months and the bump is just on her front and she is having a boy, time will tell hey!!!! will you find out at your 20 week scan?

Wow, I'm so made up for you and your bubs, cant wait to see the scan piccie.

i think I also cried at my 1st scan, more relief than anything emotional as at the time he/she was a blob :happy:

I also liek this game guess the sex, can i play too???

I'm all up front, cant even tell I'm pregnant from behind........

Dr said it could be a girl, but he wasn;t 100% sure as the cord was dangling between Boo's legs :lol:

ttc since July 06. 8 cycles of clomid. BFP on cycle 5 (Dec 07) ended in m/c at 9.5 weeks. Second BFP on cycle 8 (May 08)
