Try not to worry hun, Its probably your uterus stretching to accomodate your lovely miracle lurve

You will see from the other threads that the girls get these right through to about 12 weeks, and even after

Completely normal hun so don't worry. I had these for ages too. The only time to worry is if the pains are accompanied by bleeding in which case you go straight to a&e but pains without any bleeding are normal. The uterus is stretching and growing and that can be quite sore for a good while yet.

I also have these pains intermittenly and have had them on and off since five weeks into my pregnancy.

It feels like AF pains, but i am quite sure that it will be uterine growth.

I know that it is stressful, but chin up hun...

I had af pains all night last night so much that I woke up to go to the tiolet and forgot that I am pregnant and was looking for af. When I realised I was so upset about it, cos it showed just how bad the af pains were, has anyone else had them this bad and is everything ok, I was thinking that if this is still bad then Im gonna go into hospital on monday cos the scanning clinic is closed on the weekend and ask them to check everything.

This may seem an obvious question, but would your period be due around now? and Are you constipated??

These can both be reasons why you are getting this kind of pain.

I know that you are really worried, but please take it from all the posts you have generated that it is normal.
I would also phone EPU on Monday, just for peace of mind.
If you are not bleeding, assume that things are well..

I had those and asked midwife. She said as long as they go away they are nothing to worry about. If they increase or accompanied by bleeding, ring midwife. She said its normal to get stretching pains. Sometimes if you are sitting awkwardly, you can get them and then when you change position, they go. I sometimes get them when I sneeze and its quite sharp but goes quickly.

If in doubt, ring midwife hun. Better to have mind put at rest.

Babygirl

I think your symptoms sound reassuring to be honest.
It is weird because i have had the same kind of symptoms and when the symptoms get better, you worry!! It seems to be a never ending vicious circle...

Hope you are more reassured..

Hi,

I've been getting those pains too. Also feeling a bit 'wet' down there but when I go to the toilet there is nothing or there is some white cervical mucus (not much) which I understand is normal? Also I get what feels like trapped wind in my pelvic area too. This is when I would've normally had my period too.

I'm having my second scan (8wks) on Tuesday so hoping seeing the little babies again will put my mind at rest!

Symptoms keep coming and going and the only constant is greasy hair and the big spot on my chin!

Please try not to worry, I got them & still do get the odd twinge now. I also got bleeding with no pain but my little bub is still growing well.

I still find myself on knicker watch now & I am over the half way mark.

It's a scary time waiting to see your little one & feeling things that feel like an AF. The symptoms of pregnancy are very similar to AF so don't worry too much.

Hiya Mrs A,

I had these pains and it seemed to be whenever I was usually on my monthly for pregnancy, I have them really strong and it worried me but a few days later they have seemed to ease off (touch wood) I know it is worrying but I think it is normal for the afy pains as it could be stretching or just your body changing, I know Im one to talk as I gotmyself into a bit of a mess with them but try not to worry and ask your clinic tomorrow.

Take care and keep us posted.
