Well Ive finally decided on colours for the Donkey! Off white! Can you believe it?! I went yesterday to have a look at them in 'real life' haha. Its hard to get a good idea of colour of the net. Anyway I was convinced the green would be for us but I dont like it as much. The blue/red were then second options but they had a black/off white one set up on display next to the blue and rd and it looked lovely! I never EVER thought Id go for tat colour but im now decided.

I googled it looking for a deal and found a site called 'salebabystroller' where its sold about £300 cheaper... then looked into the site a little more and im not sure its a genuine site. The reviews are from people with the most weird names ever and a lot of the descriptions on the actual site are mis spelt. Im so tempted because £300 is a lot of money to save but just have this bad feeling theyre not genuine...I emailed thm asking where they were based and if they had a shop but they just emailed back and said theyre based in the uk and I can only purchase online. What do you think?

I'm going buggy shopping for the first time this week and I can't wait! I know I won't make my mind up straight away but I'm veering towards the Baby Jogger City Select. This one fits my criteria so far....to be able to have babies facing you and to noght have the twin at the back underneath the one infront. The only thing that I'm not sure about is whether a tandem is going to be too heavy for me to get up pavements.

RM-have you tried the baby jogger out yet and are you looking at the tandem?

Becky-I love the buggabo but I don't think I can stretch to the cost of it.

We'll see, by the time I've had a look at them in the flesh I'll probably have changed my mind entirely!

Hi! Check the Bugaboo website as they list all their stockists and are very particular about it! I was filling in my guarantee online and when you type the town where you bought it, it automatically updated the stockists in that postcode (there were only 2, like I said they seem to be very particular!) Anyway the online shop you're talking about sounds dodgy!
That's my bit of helpful of advice for the day, now if anyone can tell me how to get babies to nap without rocking them I might actually get my arms back one day!!!

PR - I think you are right to be cautious, Bugaboo don't sell online as far as I am aware! I love the off white colour that's the one I saw in John Lewis

Wannabe - I've got a second hand icandy apple, I needed something narrow enough to get down very small paths to school and easy to push. I'm really happy with it - although haven't obviously used it yet!

They had loads of different twin prams on display in our John Lewis, worth phoning some shops and seeing what is in stock and then going to look at some!

Fuzzybee I can imagine how hard rocking two babies is, you have probably tried already but with my DS I used a CD of white noise, or stuck a fan on that went hmmmmmmm and that sometimes worked!

Have you checked out E-Bay for a Bugaboo Donkey at all? There are loads of nearly new ones on there because people seem to buy them and then change their minds - madness! I've seen a couple of black and white ones on there too so worth keeping a look out, you could save a small fortune and still buy a genuine product. Some people haven't even got around to registering the guarantees! Must be nice to have that much spare cash around to blow without too much thought eh?!?!

Yup, they do package deals too. I rang them with a figure that I had worked out from them and the lady actually managed to get it down a few more pounds. She was really friendly and helpful and some of the stuff will be with me by Monday! TBH I couldn't be bothered to shop around any more after she'd quoted as I really didn't think anyone else would beat their price.

Hi Ladies,
Has anyone looked at the beep beep elagance looks ok, 2 carry cots , car seats and the pushchair for about £700 but seen one on ebay 2yrs old £225
Finding it really hard to find a twin pram that is from birth ,early days yet so i have ages to keep reading all your reviews,I have been offered a Icandy apple for £200 with one pear carrycot, but the rear seat is broken and to replace this is £85 plus to buy another carrycot and other extras would cost about another £300 i really dont feel its worth it, also the ladies twins are only 9mths and out grown it already , so that to me is not worth the money.
Well I wait to see what you all think.

I have that buggy, in that colour with the footmuffs and I LOVE IT!!! It is my third buggy - I also had the iCandy Peach Blosson and the Nipper 360 - but the Baby Jogger ticks all my boxes for ease of folding, getting through doors and I love the colour.

It might be worth looking at the City Mini GT as well. Its the same but with bigger air filling tyres which make it easier for pushing. If there is one thing I would change on the Mini it would be the slightly puny tyres which make it a little harder to push than some of the others but I still think it's fab. I haven't seen the GT anywhere but a colleague has just bought the single version and is very happy with it. It is on the Baby Jogger website so you can google it.

I've looked at the review for the BJCM GT and it certainly has some improvements but it's not widely available yet and no one seems to sell the carrycots for it. I like the Mountain Buggy for the size of it's wheels so I might try to get a secondhand one of those for trips to the forest/beach etc when the twins are bigger.

I went for the Baby Jogger City Select and it's already arrived! Ordered on Friday PM and I got it yesterday lunchtime - impressive service or what?!

Have given it a test drive today and it's MUCH heavier than my iCandy Cherry but it also feels a lot sturdier, it handles very well and the basket on it is HUGE and also very easily accessible. Plus I can fold it down with the seat still attached which is handy. Am just waiting for the second seat unit to arrive (think they tried to delivery this today and I was out) so overall I am currently very impressed with Precious Little Ones and pleased with my new purchase. Freya seems to like it too which is great.

According to the Baby Jogger website it uses the same carrycots (and other accessories) as the standard model.

Thanks Newly Wed. I've managed to track the GT down on John Lewis. It's a shame it only comes in black though. I don't think our local store had that one on display but will have anothe look at the weekend.

Gracie-That's super fast delivery! Unfortunately, the Baby Jogger City Mini in Amethyst is only available to pre-order for August an it says online that the date from the supplier is subject to change. I don't fancy being left for months waiting for the buggy to arrive but the price differnece to John Lewis is £120 with the 5% FB discount! Decisions, decisions :)

Becky-Hopefully it won't take too long to come. Happy shopping!

Wannabe - John Lewis will price match, but you'll need to find out if Precious Little Ones have a show room as they only price match with places that have stores. Even so, other online retailers DO have stores (Pramworld for one) so you may well be able to surf around for a good price and still get JL to match it.

Hi Girls,
We have Baby Jogger City Mini in Red and we love it it is the best folding double pram I have came across, it survived 8 flights trips and I would say it is the lightest and I never had a problem getting through a door.
The Girls are nearly 3 now and we still use it and it is in perfect condition. : D

Well Ive finally decided on colours for the Donkey! Off white! Can you believe it?!?

A friend of mine just mentioned to me that the downside of the off white is that it does not block out enough light for her LOs to be able to sleep.

I was looking into changing bags to go with the donkey and I might sound naive but wondered. Most ladies i know put the changing bag over the handle bar on the pram. With a bugaboo donkey i cant see this happening so do you put the bag underneath the pram? And which is the best bag to use with a donkey? x

I don't know which bag would be best with the donkey but the handlebar is like the the one on the Baby Jogger (there's nowhere to hang it) but when I've lookied online at changing bags a lot of them have quick release pram straps so you can hang it on the handlebar.

I'm looking at getting a Radley one as I love their handbags but it's not easy to find one that matches the pram.

I have the radley changing bag, not a twin specific one but its really roomy and has been fab, love it. The bag has straps to hang it on handlebars and even laden with stuff it hasnt tipped the donkey. But that was with carrycots on, we changed to seats at the weekend and I havent tried hanging the bag on the handlebars since, I will experiment tmrw! The only reason I wonder is the seats are that bit lighter than the carrycots.
def  to the radley change bag!

Picked up the Baby Jogger City Mini Duoble in Purple and Grey last night and it's gorgeous! Fit's in the car really well and leaves loads of room for the carrycots and shopping :) I just can't wait to use it now! Oh, and I've got to find the perfect Radley bag to go with it but there aren't many purple ones out there. I might have to go for black.
