"Popping" feeling

Hi all

A few times Friday I felt what I can only describe as a "popping" feelin in my lower tum, like a bubble or bubbles bursting? I first I though it was trapped wind as I always get trapped wind, but it felt well "different" I am wondering if this is my LO moving? I am scared to get excited and think it might have been? I am naturally petite and I have been told you can feel the baby earlier sometimes (I am nearly 16 weeks) also my mw commented by LO is very active?

Friends keep saying "oh you would know if you feel the baby moving" and "its like butterflies in your tum" but I am not sure, I think I am scared to think it was the LO as dont want to get my hopes up. Also I would not really describe the feeling as butterflies?

Anyone any advice or similar thing?

RE: "Popping" feeling

sounds like the baby to me!! Sounds a little like the sensations I had earlier on :D

Of course, it could also be trapped wind in a strange place :innocent:

Hi Kel - sounds like it could be :D :D :D

There were a couple of us who have asked similar recently so I'll post the links which you may find useful to read through:

What do first movements feel like?!

How do I know if movement or not?

As you can see, everyone experiences them and explains them slightly differently! I was expecting butterflies and popping but mine definately felt more like wind :snigger:

How exciting - enjoy, it gets more frequent and more noticeable :D

I can still remember the first movements I felt when I was pregnant with Fiona 31 years ago ! I described it like a little twitch that you sometimes get around your eye. I was 16+ weeks when I first felt it, but popping bubbles fits the bill too !
