I went to my GP and he says that it is the northern european syndrom in my case... A too busy mind and feelings of guilt if I havent done enough!
(if you haven't chopped the wood you will freeze to death)

I also had to go up 2-3 times for tiny little wees in the night but am now down to once a night...

Do you know what causes yours or what reasons do you think??

I am not getting up to pee ! ... just laying starring into space ! .....

last night i had a pretty good reason as DS was in my bed (he said his legs were sore and needed to sleep with me !) ... i had his feet all over me in the night, him grinding his teeth and taking up too much space !

but even nights before - i am tired - be dozy off in front of the telly - but when i get to bed - i cant sleep !
i think maybe my mind is racing a bit with things that need doing, worry abit about money/maternity leave .... !

oh well .... the joys .... next week i am sure it will be something else !

Kizzy, ok, here is psyche talk...

You are pregnant. Take it easy. Things that needs to be done will be done but in the MORNING! No point in going over things!
Brush your teeth before you doze off in the sofa so that you can go straight and crash!
If this doesnt work I got the phone no of I great sleep psychiatrist! (in London)

Kiz - I have nights when it's 9.30 and I'm falling asleep on the sofa. Then I get up, go to bed and lie awake mulling things over until about midnight!

acutally thats a good point 'Brush your teeth before you doze off in the sofa so that you can go straight and crash'

i suppose by the time the DP gets me up from the sofa, i have routinely checked all the doors & windows, removed the cat from the bed room, checked a sleeping ds, brushed my teeth, checked for spots, had a wee, stripped and got into bed - i am wide awake !

mad eh!

When I get home after work I get rid of all traces of make up so that bits done. Maybe I should clean teeth, but knowing me I'll only do them again before I go to bed!

Kizzy, I do sympathise. I spent about 2 hours last night lying awake rehearsing the birth!! Its going to be dead easy now! The reason I was awake was because on Saturday I had a late night so had a lie in on Sunday then a nap in the afternoon, also junior came salsa dancing with me on Saturday night (it would have been very difficult for one of us to go without the other!) and decided to practice a few moves at midnight for about 2 hours!

It sounds like your baby has a foot on your bladder!

Kizzy I had and still have a fresh fruit addiction not a bad one to have really!

As for weeing - when you are pg having a wee is never satisfying, you think it wil be but everytime i went I felt i needed to go again I also had a few incidents of going then pulling up my trousers and going again YUK!

Have the same problem with stomach hurting when I need a wee, and at night it can be really sore until I go to the loo and relieve the pressure!

Hmm. I know where you ladies are coming from. I think that Bubs thinks my bladder is a soccer ball as it feels as if I am being kicked right there and I subsequently need to get to the loo quick smart - and am so disappointed to find that it is only a little wee. It felt like I had the entire Pacific ocean in there as I was rushing to the loo... :D
I also wake up during the night for no particular reason, lie staring into space for an hour or so before I get back to sleep. Can't even blame it on worry as I am not thinking of anything particular while I am lying there. Oh well. Must be one of those things...

Do you feel lots and lots of movements cos you're having twins - does it feel like there's lots going on in there or are they coming slowly but surely? If you know what I mean!

T1 is head down at mo feet by my boobs, T2 has his head next to T1's feet - proberbly getting kicked every so often.

So wierd i was panicking on thurs i hadn't felt them move on fri i felt them.

Jenny & Kizzy,

Feels very weird having two in there kicking about, sometimes one is wriggling one side and the other is doing the same the other side!! Definate kicks now and like 1xbaby says they seem to be getting stronger every day!!

I managed to sleep on my side last night - wasn't really that bad after I'd got comfy. Actually, sleeping on my back was more painful last night!!

i find if i sort of lay to one side and wedge a pillow under my back seems to help a bit.
i wake everytime time i turn over to move my pillow with me. i am shattered. laid awake at 4am ... just thinking about how tired i am  .........

finding it hard to wash up too - larges part of my belly leans on the sink and can ache ..... a excellent excuse me thinks !

still ... all in a good cause - i have nothing to complain about.

My restless legs are what keeps me most awake. I can go and wee in a trance like state now I do it so often, I'm sure sometimes I barely wake up! I just can't get my legs to calm down and have to keep walking around. I suppose it gets us used to the sleepless nights to come!

I've spent most of the day trying to get comfy on the sofa (after doing me jobs in between). Nothing helps today - or even this weekend. Feel as though eaten too much, walked too much and basically done too much - none, in my opinion, of which I've done.

I sleep in the spare room and have done for a while now as I fidget and can't sleep thus keeping DH awake and he's on shifts so that's no good to him really. Even now I'm a bigger fidgeter so it makes sense for me to stay in there for a bit longer!
