Fat Feet!

Hi Ladies,

Anyone have a cure for huge swollen feet? My feet are so big now none of my shoes fit at all and nothing seems to make them smaller. I've no issues re BP so must just be the extra fluid but I can't even bend my toes they are so big now!

Thanks x

Feet up, bag of frozen peas on each foot and then a nice foot massage from your DH!!!

Its a good time of year to be pregnant though - no-one questions why you only wear flip flops!

Yep same here, huge swollen feet and ankles, and as of 2 days, swollen hands and wrists - had to take off my watch and rings, which are usually quite loose! The joys of third tri huh, so glamorous ;-) Using cold flanels here, its winter so the thought of ice water is awful. Least the end is getting closer in sight

I now call the cankles! I don't have calves any more. My feet, ankles and calves are now as one! They are not attractive and are actually very uncomfortable.

Put them up so they are higher than your waist/heart/hips (different books sites say different things) - lay on your left side and put lots of pillows under your feet.

Foot rubs and cold flannels.

Thank goodness for flip flops! Oh and someone recommended Dandelion tea - haven't tried it myself.

Thanks ladies. I guess it is just part of the joys of 3rd tri waiting game! I too have named them cankles and as for wearing my rings no chance. I've had them off for weeks :D

I hope everyone is keeping well and I will try all the recommendations x

I have no useful tips but I know someone who's feet have permanently gone up a size since she was pregnant earlier this year.

She's not impressed but it sounds like a perfect excuse to buy loads of new shoes to me!

ttc since July 06. 8 cycles of clomid. BFP on cycle 5 (Dec 07) ended in m/c at 9.5 weeks. Second BFP on cycle 8 (May 08)

Oh I love the idea of a whole new shoe wardrobe but my DH will flip if it's true :snigger: I have a pretty large shoe and handbag collection but then again all those lovely new shiny pairs it'd almost be worth it :D

Stardust I hope the itching and heat lessens a bit for you. Have you told your mw about the itching? I get itchy calves but not feet just so much. Hadn't thought about a fan but I like the idea.

I need some new flip flops cos I am convinced my feet smell more than usual as they are so warm and am a bit paranoid with wearing the same pair everyday. Don't want the mw fainting on me if she is checking my bits but gets a whiff of my feet first :D
