Am I still ok swimming & going to aqaufit at 40+ weeks?

I feel physically able to and can't think of any reason why not, but just wondered if anyone knew why it might be inadvisable? The only thing I can really think of is my waters breaking in the pool but I reckon I'd still be able to tell as our swimming pool is so chilly! (Although they might have to clean it for anyone else after me :snigger:)

Sheesh, I'm not that energetic :snigger:

(And my last experience with a treadmill was watching a friend on one, very very drunk, falling and taking all the skin off her feet and palms )

My local pool wouldn't allow women past 38 weeks i think. Probably because of the cost involved if waters do break!

No reason why not. With Mooch I did aquanatal and I remeber there was a woman there who was over 40 weeks. It lovely to feel weightless in the water at that stage isn't it?

There is no reason medically speaking why not, particularly if you've been doing it all the way through. However as you say some instructors/pools may have their own policy. Just make sure you go at your own pace, and stop ( as you would anyway) if any unsusal signs/symptoms.
