Belly button

I'm getting a lot of pain around my belly button. Is this normal? Yesterday it was so bad it was affecting my walking. It went after about an hour but it seems to happen late afternoon most days. Is it just the muscles stretching because I've been moving around at work?

I've had quite a lot of itching (skin stretching) but no pain.
If you're worried go see your MW, its always worth relieving any stress.

Mine's a bit red though cos of my piercing. Have changed the metal stud for a plastic bendable one! DH says its just wrong to leave in but I don't think its too bad and don't want the scar or to re-pierce after.

I got a patch next to my belly button that was really painfull too. We put it down to there being a weak point in my tum muscles.... ?( I used to walk with my fingers pressed on the sore bit.

Tigger, I was (rather rudely) told to remove my belly ring with my first pregnancy but I left it in for my second with no problems. Thos eplastic retainers are a great invention if your asked to remove metal ones for scans.

I never had it in the earlier days but get it now, my BB is pretty sore and tender. I just put it down to stretching and maybe it depends on how deep your BB goes. Mine was pretty deep so maybe its only stretching at its most now???

A friend of mine had no BB when she was pregnant, later into her PG it just stretched out completely so had nothing there at all, looked very alien. Its fine now though.

I removed my belly bar a couple of years ago but obviously still have the hole there. It looks horrid and thats the main bit that itches actually.

I won't be putting it bacfk in though, I think I have grown out of it now. Dont get me wrong, they look lovely I think, especially on holidays but I just got bored with mine.

There's no reason why you should HAVE to remove your belly rings/bars, apart from a comfort issue. The plastic bendy ones are usually the best best if the metal ones are becoming untidy. I've seen lots of ladies keep theirs in though, unless they become huuuuuggee!

No point posting my belly as you will still only see fat. My fundus may be above my pelvic brim (by about 4cm) but I don't particularly look PG yet. Am still in my pre-PG clothes which are now hanging a bit baggily on me. Will post as soon as belly is of worthy size... :D

My belly button has gone really saggy where the stud used to be. I took it out when I was pg with Giorgia as at the point I did have a bump, the itching drove me mad and the skin was getting really thin.

Now since my belly button was flattened out in pg and belly is going down, there is an ugly piece of puckered skin hanging over the rim where the stud was.. does it ever go??

Have discovered mine only hurts when I've been on my feet all day so I've bought a couple of bump supports from M&S. See what they do. I may invest in these VERY sexy items

http://www.mothercare.com/invt/la0105&bk…undbriefstights

Then I can wear them afterwards as a form of contraception!

Has anyone got an 'outy' yet.
