BFP, losing weight and not sure about next steps!

Hi all,
Well I've tested a total of 4 times now and they're all BFP's! (today 16dpo)  Yeah!
Went to the doctors to register yesterday (as the clinic advised) and he said i need to register with the midwife and I got this appointment next week, but my scan at the clinic isnt unitl 6th Jan...is this ok or is it still too soon? Anyone got any advice to what they did after they're BFP's? Roll on 6th Jan now!

I forgot to mention (as I put in the header) I've also lost around a stone over the past 2 weeks, is this normal? has anyone else experienced this?

I know Bec39 has continued to lose weight.

You may be better posting these questions in the first trimester thread.

congratulations on your bfp!

i had my first mw appoinment before my scan at clinic, as i was so excited wanted to get things going. but i know alot of ladies waited until after there scan just for the reassurance all was ok before they went to mw, and also to see if they were having twinnies or a singleton.
at my initial appointment we filled out lots of forms with mw ie family history, booking forms ect, i think i remember her taking some bloods and doing bp ect aswell

hope this was helpfull

Hi Lynnsey.
Thanks for your response, yes, it's very helpfull! it's nice to know what to expect with the MW. Everything seems to have slowed down now, so not sure what to expect or do etc?! ?(
Torisen thanks for that, makes me feel a bit better...well... I might as well go eat some cake then :snigger:

Woooo Hooo, Congrats on ur BFP :) clap

I too am still losing weight .... altho i joined a slimming class at the start of tx, lost 11.5lbs during tx which i was really pleased about, but have carried on losing it after my bfp (not a stone in weight mind - i wish i had lol) my gp says its ok to lose weight right up until the baby is about 16 weeks old ... there is no reason at this stage to put on weight, or to 'eat for two'.
You should only be eating an extra 300 calories per day for ur baby when u reach 16/18 weeks ... altho no doubt, by then i will be eating more :snigger:

I am 6 weeks pregnant and my appetite has increased massively - I seem to be hungry all the time!! Don't think Im losing weight, but normally if I ate as much as Im eating now, I would put on weight... think its an increase in metabolism.
