Sounds like something bothered your sciatic nerve to me.

ttc since July 06. 8 cycles of clomid. BFP on cycle 5 (Dec 07) ended in m/c at 9.5 weeks. Second BFP on cycle 8 (May 08)

As Bubble said, this does sound like sciatica. ( ive suffered with this myself)

I would recommend resting for a day or two, if it persists see your GP.

This has been happening to me too during my pregnancy - shooting pains through my right bottom cheek and down my right leg. It's pressure on my sciatic nerve caused by the position that my baby is in.
There are some exercises that you can do to help, Bells put some suggestions in my diary a few weeks back if you want to have a look.

Hope it doesn't come back though....it's a right pain in the bum....get it? I'll get my coat :snigger:

Had the shooting pains in the bum too ...especially badly when preg with Harri, and on and off this time, although both times a bit later on in pregnancy than 10 weeks. It gets worse the more lifting I do (set it off this time after lifting my 2.5 years old and overdoing the house work...should have known better!) so resting is probably one thing to try, but def speak to your GP or MW for suggestions of how to relieve it as it is really uncomfortable and you don't want 30 more weeks of that.x

Hi hunny hope you are ok ??? it does sound like sciatica I have some migraine Kool 'n' soothe non-medicated stick on patches that I got for headache but these also are good for back & neck pain last upto 8 hrs !!

If it get any worse or you can not bare the pain go see your Gp as I am not sure what pain meds you can take to help it.
