Oh Becca :cuddle

Take a quick look over this thread BLEEDING IN PREGNANCY and I'd suggest getting in touch with your GP or midwife to explain what is happening.

Hope it stops soon and everything is ok.

Becca, please try not to panic. Make an appointment with your GP or EPU and leave work as soon as you can get cover. Work is the last place you need to be.

Becca - i have just seen this. try not to worry. Go and see your GP or ring the clinic they may book you in for an early scan.

Was there lots of blood or just a little?

Hun, it's impossible to give a good answer to this because it depends on how quickly your HcG levels drop.

Did the clinic suggest testing your HcG levels from blood tests at all?

Please can you go home from work? You'd be better off at home I'm sure.

In some respects they're right - knowing the numbers won't change the outcome but it might help you know what's going on. Can you take the next couple of days off work to rest up? I really the worry passes soon and all is ok.

It depends what's causing the bleeding to be honest hun. It can't not hurt put it that way but you have to do what feels best for you in the circumstances. How is the bleeding now?

Oh hun, I am so sorry you are going through this. It is an awful, awful feeling.

Unfortunately there is not a heck of a lot your clinic can do at the moment. They likely won't see anything on a scan, but you could see if they would measure your HcG levels as they should be doubling every 48 hours or so. They may just take a wait and see approach which unfortunately does you no good. Or, in a few days you can ask to have a blood test and if the levels are not very high, then it might indicate miscarriage. I know there have been quite a few girls who have had heavy bleeding and have been absolutely fine.

Sending you lots of hugs

Hi
Just read this and I am so sorry that no one is helping you. I would hound the clinic and get them to do some blood tests because then at least you would have a better idea as to what was happening :hugs:

Can you get an appt with your Nurse at your surgery to do a blood test. My experience is that, if you get a blood test done in the morning then they could phone you this afternoon with the results.

I rang the clinic and they said they will not do a blood test as i have to wait for tomorrow to see whether i have a positive or negative HPT. I am so stressed - and if i have not lost the baby all this upset cant be helping things! I think i will try and wait till tomorrow and see what they say then - if i am still bleeding tomorrow afternoon and hae had a positive outcome on the HPT i am tempted to go into A+E and say that i have started bleeding as i have to put my ind at rest - i am a nervous wreck

Oh Becca - personally I wouldn't wait until tomorrow for the clinic, I would go to the EPU or hospital. Just because you have had treatment for your pregnancy doesn't make any difference to how you should be treated and as you are bleeding you need to be seen by a Dr. Do you have any pain at all?

I do have stomach pains either side - like where my ovaries are, very much like period pains. How would i find out where the nearest EPU is? Or should i just go the the nearest hospital? Wouldnt they say the same in that it would be too early to do a scan?

I'm sorry things are no better today

You can find your nearest EPU from this site http://earlypregnancy.org.uk/default.asp.

Usually it's too early to do a scan before 6 weeks but they might - they might also do your bloods for you. In any event, they'll be able to give you some advice.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi Becca, I'm really sorry to read about the bleeding and worry that you are going through. No one on here can tell you what is happening in there so please please please go to your local hospital EPU, A&E or emergency gynae unit tomorrow morning. This is the only way to put your mind at rest hun. Thinking of you and hope that all is ok with your little one x
