Nuchal Translucency measurement?

Hi All

I had my 12 week scan nearly 2 weeks ago and had the NT test done. I still haven't heard anything back from the hospital with my results, however on my notes it says that the Nuchal Translucency measurement was 2mm. Is that normal at 12 weeks 1 day????? I am so worried about the results and just wish something would come in the post saying all is Ok. I am only 28, but still have this horrible feeling that something is going to be wrong.

Me 27-DH 33 2 x Lap- Tubes removed due to hydrosalpinx Cycle 3-July 08.

Yes, my understanding is that measurement is ok. Please don't worry. Did you also have a blood test to get a combined risk score?

ttc since July 06. 8 cycles of clomid. BFP on cycle 5 (Dec 07) ended in m/c at 9.5 weeks. Second BFP on cycle 8 (May 08)

Yes, had bloods taken as well. I don't know why I have got it into my head that something is going to be wrong!

You're at a lower risk at your age as well.

Just seen you're in Henley - are you at the Royal Berks for these tests? If so then they phone within a couple of days if something is wrong. It takes them longer to write to tell you that everything is ok.

Yes, I did have it done at the Royal Berks!! Oh, I didn't realise that they phone in a couple of days if you are at a high risk. Well it is 2 weeks on Thursday, so can only hope it is good news!

Yes, they definately phone if you are high risk as they like to get you in quickly to talk it over. I reckon the letter will come in a couple of days. You could always call them if it doesn't come within the two weeks. The number for the midwife responsible for the screening tests is in the papers that they will have given you about the testing.

Sarah - give them a ring - we had our scan last Monday 3rd and got our letter on Saturday.

Midwife did tell me that they didn't start worrying until measurement was over 3.5 - sure you are fine.
