bleeding with clots

well what a horrible 24 hours i have had,i started bleeding 24 hours ago horrible clots and really heavy so they kept me in and i had a scan this morning and my lining is 11mm and the sac is still there but because i am only 5 weeks they couldnt tell much so they did bloods and my hcg is 1621 and i have to go back in 48 hours for another test so i am now in bed praying to god it will be ok.

My blood has now gone brown so hope it stays like that.

I'm so sorry you've had all this worry Zoe, what a fightening experience. Fingers crossed your embie is oblivious to all the bleeding and you'll see him/ her on a scan in a couple of weeks. Hope the test in 48 hours is good too hun x

It is so scary to have bleeding in pregnancy, so sorry you are having to experience this. Rest up if you can (I know they say you don't need to but it made me feel like I was doing something to help by resting) and fingers crossed for you ....really good that the blood has gone brown now.x

Hi Zoe

I'm sorry to hear that you have been bleeding - it must be such a worry for you. Fingers crossed it is all ok and that your blood test results give you some comfort.

can I just take this opportunity to clarify that there is no 'safe' colour for the blood loss - brown blood, red blood, whether old or new. There's a really useful thread with more information on bleeding here
