Oh my God, I'm in shock! I refuse to believe anything bad is happening.

My dear, I'm so sorry you are going through this anguish and getting so lousy service to top it all. I hope you got some reassurance at the hospital, I pray everything will be alright.

 :rose: :sticky:

Am sos orry at how you have been treated, terrible, and it's shocking the things doctors say, really is.
Am glad you have finally been able to be seen at the EPU, and hope everything is ok, thinking of you xxx

What a day. I can't believe it took so much effort, stress and tears just to get seen by a health professional. In the end after everything, I phoned the local EPU myself, and explained to them that although I knew that I needed a referral from a gp, my docs were being less than helpful and I was now very worried that I wouldn't be seen. I was really upset and the woman I spoke to was lovely and went off and spoke to the doc on duty. She called me back 10 mins later and said to come in when I was ready and she the doc would assess me.

So I spent a couple of hours waiting, which was a pain in itself cos I had the kids with me, and while I was trying not to alarm them, telling them I just needed a check up, they knew that something was up cos they behaved so well! I eventually got seen, gave the doc my history. She checked my cervix, took bloods and asked me to come back in 45 mins for the result. When I called back they weren't ready, so I said I would go home and call them later as the kids were getting restless. They called me back at teatime to tell me my HCG was 3252 (how high? It was only 165 last Monday!) and that they would give me a ring tomorrow morning with a time to come in for a scan tomorrow. Finally, reassurance. I will feel much happier when the scan comes back ok tomorrow, but for now I think maybe I might get some sleep tonight.

I have had no more bleeding today, my tummy is still cramping though which worries me, but for now, no blood means good things. Maverick and Goose are hanging in there.

I'm sorry a shite day has been made worse by the way you have been treated, it really isn't on that you have been treated like this.

Wow! What a great HGC level! I hope Maverick and Goose are doing fine and you have no more bleeding or cramps. I have everything crossed for you scan tomorrow.

hi,

just wanted to share my experience, i started bleeding a couple of weeks ago it was very scary and seemed like lots - i was 8 weeks pregnant. I went to A&E but they told me i just had to wait and see and to book for a scan at the EPU i did this and baby was fine the bleeding was inferior to the baby.

i was also told that although bleeding isnt normal its very common - just hope this helps anyone.

xx

Hey Julie, glad everything is ok now. It's so scary when it happens and you can't help but fear the worst. Good to know that everything is ok for both of us though!

its well scary but so common i have spoken to so many friends of friends who have had it - i had a panic today (i expect your teh same worrying every time you go to the loo!) well i had brown blood i called the EPU they said not to worry and just forget its there - it is nice to be reassured although i wasn’t as panicky as i was with the heavy bleed last week - but had it confirmed again today that that was nothing to worry about.

such a scary time for us Roll on the 12 weeks - i see you are a week infront of me! im 9 weeks 5days!

Xx
