Leaking?

Hi All

This may be a little TMI but for the last few days i have felt a little 'damp' down below, no sign of any discharge or anything and i'm fairly sure i'm not peeing myself! Is there such a thing as your waters leaking out rather than gushing out? I have 6 days left before due date (despite what the ticker says) and can't see my midwife until Thursday.
Other than a few twinges that last a few seconds and i've put down to baby pressing on something I haven't had any other symptoms. I've been admitted twice with tightenings but i don't even get these anymore. Anyone got any ideas?

Have to admit now in hindsight this happened to me . I felt damp all the time at about 38 weeks but no dischrage nothing... turned out I had very little water too at my scan. I expected a big gush when it went...not a very slow trickle.

i have always been a bit of a gusher myself :snigger:

but it is very possible. when my waters went it was slightly thicker than wee, and it had a very pale yellow tinge to it....and it had the odd blood streak.

dont know if that helps any. good luck at your drs

if they cant get you in, ring the labour ward and tell them you think your waters have gone and they will have you in to do a few tests to see if it is that.

:goodluck:

My water was pinkish clear and came in a steady flow!
You can trickle for some time but should get it checked out!
Let us know how you do!

If you "bear down" a little- does it still leak? If so then it may well be your waters tricking. Keep a pad on, and monitor it. If it continues, I would speak to the labour ward and they'll examine you and let you know. the chances are if they have gone then labour will start soon!

Hello again

Well, still no luck! Saw midwife on thursday, didn't mention leaking as by the i kept checking and it appeared to have stopped. Midwife thinks this baby is already over 8lbs and i'm not due till tues. She has booked me an appointment with the consultant on Thursday to get a date for an induction as my hips and pelvis are killing me (SPD) and i'm hoping they'll do it next Friday.
Actually I'm hoping this baby will be here long before then anway!

Will keep you informed!

Take care
