We're joining you!

DS1 was four today! We're joining the big boys in the 4-9yr old thread!

He was so excited about the day, and as for when the cake came out with candles, the way his face lit up was the best bit of the whole day for me. I'm glad he's easily pleased! I suspect I'll have to work harder at his birthday next year when his expectations will be higher. :D :D

Happy Birthday Master Limpet!!

I can't believe they're four already... school uniforms and shiny shoes next :8o:

I don't know if you've started this yet but I'm using "you're four now, you need to do xxx like a big girl (boy)!". So far the night time nappy debacle has been resolved and general behaviour has improved since the reminders of being big and grown up and nearly going to big school!

Next year I think we'll need limos and stuff.. oh no... apparently that's only de rigueur when they get to about 12 years old... seriously

Happy Birthday DS1 and welcome to the 4-9 boards Limpet. The good news is that the expectation for a grander party shouldn't start for another few years yet, DS is 6 this year and isn't fussed really. x
