Hi I cannot advise on Adopting with a biological child - I can however say that Adoption is a beautiful thing & although I had a rollercoaster of a journey we couldn't be happier with our little family.

There can feel like alot of hoops to jump through but it will all be worth it - we feel blessed everyday.

Wishing you all the best for your journey xxx

That's fab, I enquired about fostering to adopt and was told I couldn't as we both work is that the case? I'm assuming it will all depend on circumstances and different areas.

Fostering to adopt is a unique scenario really! We are only able to do it because it was part of the 'package' when we were taking on our DD & I'm on adoption leave! Otherwise we would have to do concurrency normally to have a newborn.

Our situation is so rare they have had to take each step at a time as they haven't had anyone do what we are doing!!! Normally there is a larger gap between siblings!!!!

I would imagine you would have to be a full time foster Carer to normally do what we are doing! We did have to be approved as temporary foster carers while legal proceedings take place.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks Wardie that makes perfect sense, I think we just hoped if we could foster to adopt we would get a baby or close to a baby, but due to ds only being 3 she said we would get a child under 1 so there was an age gap, you must be so chuffed to now be a mummy of two.

Hope your well

Hey. I think it is amazing to have another baby. Every woman wants a biological baby. I think this is wonderful. But I think adoption is not an option. I dont want you to change your mind but that is just my views. I think I would prefer surrogacy over adoption. Through surrogacy, you can have a genetic baby. I had some maternity issues. I lost my unborn babies. I went to a clinic in Europe for surrogacy. I chose surrogacy for me. It was convenient to go there. I never wanted to adopt a baby. I am not against adoption but I never wanted to bring up someone else baby. I wanted to have a biological baby. Now I am happy I chose it.

Have you thought about surrogacy? Why do you want to go for adoption? I personally think the better idea would be to go for surrogacy. Simply because the child will be related to you! Wouldn't you rather have that option instead of adoption? I personally would. I hope you're successful with whatever you choose, though.

Hello. I think it is astonishing to have another infant. I think this is great. Yet, I think adoption isn't an alternative. I dont need you to alter your opinion however that is only my perspectives. I figure I would lean toward surrogacy over the selection. Through surrogacy, you can have a genetic child. I had some maternity issues. I have infertility for 10 years. I went to a clinic in Europe for surrogacy. I picked surrogacy for me. It was helpful to go there. I never needed to embrace an infant. I am not against adoption but rather I never want to raise another person infant. Presently I am upbeat I picked it.
