PCOS Superovulation and IUI

Dear all,

I am new in this site my brief story:
I have PCOS diagnosed 7 years ago, same time when we got married, always with irregular periods, struggling with weight loss, we decided to start a family 2 years ago and we are still trying.
We have been through private clinics, treatments and currently on the NHS.
We have done IUI in Feb 2018 and failed, now due to the second one and have a question not sure if anyone can help me.
As my period is very unpredictable and I don't want to wait around to see when it will come for the second IUI I have been prescribed in the past norethisterone which is taken for 5 days and also provera which is taken for 14 days.
My question is what is the difference between them and if they affect the IUI outcome in any way?

Many thanks for your time!!
