Go or not to go (to Ukraine for IVF) - that is the question

Hi to all!
My name is Katrin, I am 36 and I have a low answer to medical protocol, only 2-3 eggs, one good lady suggested me to go to Ukraine, she sad there are specialists that can deal with such a problem. I made tests and I have low - 0,4 AMH.
Who knows good clinics in Ukraine, I have one on my mind, but firstly I want to know, maybe someone can suggest?

:hello: Katrin

Welcome to FZ!

I know absolutely nothing about the Ukraine I'm afraid but I have had successful treatment abroad so thought I'd say hello.

Are you hoping to have treatment using your own eggs or are you planning to use a donor? I had treatment in Spain and used a donor because my AMH was 1.79 and I responded very badly to IVF stimulation drugs.

My advice would be to check out a few clinics and get a feel for them, ask questions and make sure you are 100% happy with the clinic you choose before going ahead. Travelling abroad for tx does add additional stress and you may find it a bit of a culture shock as things are different. I found the Spanish excellent but they are more matter of fact and perhaps a little less emotionally involved than my experience of UK clinics.

I know this is an obvious statement but remember that you are going to put yourself through a fairly complex medical procedure so you need to be confident you have made the right choice.

:goodluck: to you!

Love Gracie

Thanks for such a warm reception! It is good to hear that the abroad treatment gives good results. I understand that I have to review all possible options to be fully ready to take the trip for my IVF baby:) : D

Hi and welcome :)

I didn't have treatment in Ukraine, but I'm Ukrainian and could ask some info my ex colleague about the clinic you have in your mind If you like.
Sure it will be cheaper then anywhere else in Europe, but I guess success rates of the clinic is more important for you. Whatever you decide I wish you all the best in your TTC journey

Lots of love xx

I write rarely, I mostly read, but in this case I can advice you to visit Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, I am starting an IVF and donation program for the second child in June in a clinic named BioTexCom, you can easy find it on the internet. If you are able to have your own eggs in good condition, so you can have a genetically related child. Just try to mail them, the managers give all the information about the process. By the way, I found out the clinic from the internet news about some swiss woman who had twins born, she had cycle in this clinic. So, good luck!
