Oh wow Clare that's really soon! It does sound like they will be here sooner though. So exciting! It's funny because I know our dates were originally only a few days apart but you are going to have your babies a lot sooner than me by the looks of things! I'm only finishing work on 3rd July lol. I'm getting so impatient though. Just can't wait to finally meet baby!

I know what you mean about missing this site when we've had our babies. It's been an absolute godsend to have other people going through the same thing and has definitely helped keep me sane! Maybe we can all still keep in touch though through Facebook or something.

I seriously don't know how anyone could ever give their dog away under any circumstances. My wee pet is my big furry baby and I would be absolutely devastated if anything ever happened to him. Net, that's reassuring to hear that your dog gets on well with your daughter. I think mine will be the same once he gets over the initial shock. He adores my nephew who is 2 and is really good and gentle round him. I'm more concerned that he'll become over protective lol!

Absolutely, would be great to keep in touch if anyone wants my details, my name is on my profile. I'm quite new to facebook, was always an Instagram girl but eventually succumbed a few months ago, my sister was driving me nuts about it!
I know Ashastar, it's crazy! they always said they wouldn't let me go much past 36 weeks because of the one placenta thing but it just seems so soon now.
It is exciting Pip but it's also scary, I don't want them to need too much special care time so hoping they stay put for a bit longer xx

Oh Clare that does sound like 3rd July is a bit ambitious! Will them bring forward the section or wait for you to go into labour? There's a new parent chat thread too - I used it loads when I had my DD but that part of he site seems a lot quieter than it did back in 2013. It was great for tips from other mums on sleeping and feeding etc.

5.30 wake up call here with a massive thunder storm. Baby is kicking away loads as I type - lovely! Plans for the weekend ladies? I'm off on a rare night out tomorrow - have not a clue what I am going to wear mind you!

Hope you are all well xxx

I got you Pip, just bear with me because I'm still a bit rubbish at it. If anyone else wants to add me my name is Clare Lou ferguson.
Net, they are certain they want me to have a section because they think it's safest for lots of reasons, including the lupus, but I might go into labour and end up too late for a section. I have thought about that scenario too. (I think about everything as you guys know)
Not much plans for weekend, hopefully having lunch with some friends tomorrow, other than that it will be a quiet one as usual these days! Have a great night out Net, sounds good!! xx

Hi ladies,
Have also got quite a few fb friends from here it's so lovely to watch everyone's little miracles grow :)
Feel free to add me, my email to search is cheena.brawn@btinternet.com picture of me & ds as profile pic!!!!

We have two dogs, they have always been so spoilt, but when we found out we was pregnant we stopped letting them in the bedroom etc, just so they had a good 8months to get used to it so it didn't feel like we were shoving them out when he turned up!!! They still rule the house, along with Ds, but he is brilliant with them, 1 of them adores him literally will let him jump all over her the other is not so keen, but he seems to realise that and has always stuck to the other when it comes to play time!!! Of course they both adore him when he has food ;)
It's different this time, researching how to introduce ds to baby!!!!
I'm sure he'll be fine, but would hate for him to ever feel left out :(

Hope everyone is doing well xx

Hi ladies
What a beaut of a day here in sheffirld. Hope you're all well!
Clare how are you BH's getting on?

Just back from seeing obstetrician and he's decided we wait snd see if the infection gets worse rather than treating right away.
Back in two weeks and being monitored for it every couple of weeks.
Feel so much better having had the conversation as there are alternative antibiotics I can take which he was totally open to if I need them.

My emal is tanbis26@yahoo.com- Tania Bustamante- but there are lots of us on there believe it or not.

Net have an awesome night out & hope everyone has a lovely Friday. I might treat myself to ikea this weekend.

Hey ladies, I agree Pip it's lovely to put faces to the names though. Hooe your mouth is ok Pip, I haven't had dental treatment but my sister had a whole lot of work done when she was pregnant because she was getting free treatment : D
I think loads of folk do that but I'm sure dentist will be able to reassure you.
Tab are you relieved you don't have to take the antibiotics and can wait and see?
I'm just home from scan and consultant appointment and everything seems fine, she said I could go on another few weeks like this so relieved and they don't think I need to get steroids earlier than next week xx

Pip I think the dentist is fine. I remember when my sister was pregnant she had to have a tooth taken out and there weren't any issues.

I've sent you both FB friend requests. Tab, I tried to add you too but it wouldn't let me. Cheenab, I couldn't find you!

Ashastar, what's your details? Will try and find you :)

That's great news Clare, they must be very comfortable where they are :)

My sister had to have a few fillings when pg, but they wouldn't give her anasestic so she sort of had to take the pain from it lol!! And I know they won't do x rays unless they really have to, could just be our dentist that's really strict!! Or just lazy ;)
Good luck :)

Weather has been absolutely gorgeous here today, meant to be nice all weekend!! DP is away till Sunday so going to take ds to a local family fun day then take away and pamper eve with my sister with a cheesy movie!!!! ;)

So I went to the dentist turns out I don't have toothache at all its sinusitis because it's in more than 1 tooth at the right place and I have a sore throat that's how he could tell. So now I need to wait on the doctors next week, hopefully it clears up b4 then.

Found you cheenab lol. Your little boy is adorable!

Pip sinusitis seems to be common during pregnancy. I had it a few weeks ago and had to get antibiotics. Now that you mention it my teeth were all sore too. At least you don't need to worry about any dental treatment!

Tab, good news that you can avoid the antibiotics. It's always such a worry when anything is prescribed.

You are all lucky with the good weather. Hopefully it'll improve here tomorrow. Have a nice weekend everyone xx

I'm sure I've asked this somewhere before so sorry if I'm just being a dufus....
Do we need to take blankets into hospital? How many have people packed in their hosp bags? I'm totally stuck on the blanket front! Which are the best- the cellular cotton ones? How many of those do babies need in general and how many to take in for them to hospital?

Yes I'll ask my midwife and plan on taking one each for journey home.
Ladies can I ask does everybody have days where they feel their bump heavy and generally feel like crap?
Is it just me? All the twin pregnancy ladies I've met over the past few weeks seem to be loving everyday and really active. Makes me feel so inadequate and then start to worry there's something wrong. Feel better today though so I'm sure it's just my body in pregnancy.

Hi tab other twin pregnancy mums I've met seem to b struggling more so makes me think I'm quite lucky so far. Everyone feels crap sometimes and carrying 2 babies is a big deal for ur body just rest when u need to and don't worry about what other people r doing.
I'm having a look for ur thread on antibiotics, the DR has prescribed me erythromycin for my sinusitis, I've had pneumonia in the past so scared it goes into my chest and don't want that while pregnant but also don't wanna take anything risky

I booked an appointment with obstetrician to discuss the statement about that antibi on royal college of obstetricians website.
I came away a lot happier and will take it if I need it at next swab. He told me that it was regularly prescribed in sheffield maternity ward at all gestational weeks. I asked him if he'd prescribe it his wife if she was pregnant and needed it, he said yes of course. He was really open to talking about my concerns so if you have any worries at all get in touch with your consultant.
Hope you're not feeling too rotten love.Xxx

Not sure if anyone else has seen fb, but just read an update from Clare's sister which said she has had her little girls who are doing brilliant, but Clare has been taken to intensive care as really poorly :(
Thinking of you lots Clare, everything crossed you are on the mend soon and can start enjoying your little girls xxx

Hi girls, I've just been on fb too and saw that poor Clare is in intensive care. Really hope everything is ok, she has been through a lot.

I've also ended up in hospital tonight. Had a routine midwife appointment this afternoon and blood pressure was really high so got sent straight to hospital. Looks like I will be here for a good few days until they can get it under control. They've given me steroid injections to mature the baby's lungs in case they have to deliver early so I'm freaking out a bit!

Hope everyone else is ok xx

Ashatar sorry you're in hospital too. Have they put you on lobetalol ( spelling?) for your bp? Take care and try to rest if you can. How many weeks are you now? I had this with my DD and I know it's pretty scary stuff xx

Hi jasper good to see you back - how are you?

Hi net, I was already on methyldopa and now they've given me something else but I can't remember the name. I'm 32 weeks so hoping to keep baby where it is for at least a few more weeks. Did you have to deliver your DD early? I'm just panicking cod I'm so disorganised lol. Still loads of things to get for the baby and haven't bought anything for my hospital bag yet!

I got high BP about 37 weeks and was induced at 39+2 due to pre eclampsia. I'm sure they can get it under control with medication - I was only on tablets for 5 days I think before they induced me so medication barely had a chance to work. And I think they would t have induced if ut hadn't developed into full pre eclampsia- I was swollen up like a sausage!

Hope you got some sleep?

Xx

Hi ladies, I'm only in my first trimester but have been in touch on and off with claire on various threads. If any of you are in touch with her please send send her my thoughts and best wishes, she really has been a trooper and one tough cookie through it all. Glad to hear the girls are doing well though. I will send her a pm for when she is well enough to read it.

Thank you and I hope the rest of you are doing ok too. X
