Latest worry- amoxicillin antibiotics & twins pregnancy

Hi ladies
Is amoxicillin safe with twins?? I'm worried as I read an old article on the guardian's website stating that antibiotics prescribed to pregnant women at risk of pre term birth can cause harm. I'm not sure if us carrying twins would fall under this category.

Has anybody had amoxicillin in first trimester with twins? My gp prescribed me a week over Christmas but this is before I knew it was twins. He knew I was pregnant and said the antibiotics were completely safe to take.
Would he have said that if he knew it was twins?

Hi
If they are safe with one baby on board I can't see why they wouldn't be safe with two, so try not to worry. I had the same antibiotics for an ear infection when I was pregnant

Hi Tab, I had trimethoprim at 8 weeks for a uti and they reassured me they would be absolutely fine. I know it's hard but try not to worry. Xx

I know what it's like Tab to worry about absolutely everything, think this process drives us slightly insane lol. Your right about this sight being a God send for helping with the crazy spells though.
