Bleeding, swollen, hard and painful at injection site

Hi guys :)

Ok yesterday my first DR injection went fine....however as most of you can tell from my title, not so good now :( this morning as soon as I took the injection out there was blood ( I injected in my stomach like yesterday, but the other side) , so I just wipe if off with a wipe. After that I got small itchy raised bumps, (that happened yesterday too, but it goes after) but now its slightly swollen aand painful to touch. I called my clinic and the nurse said to keep a eye on it as it could be a local reaction, but now I'm worried!! :(

Has anyone experience this before?

Hi Hun I wouldn't worry to much I've always had that every cycle, more so on my right side. Raised, itchy and sore to touch for a while but it does go down. It's a reaction to it but it should go within half hour or so of injection. The bit of blood happens sometimes when the needle can nick a blood vessel that nothing to worry about Hun. Hope the injections get easier xxxx [zx127]

Thanks mistykins, and wow a lovely quick reply :) its been 2 n a half hours since my injection. Its. Looking ok apart for the area still looking. Swollen and painful when moving my tummy or touching site.

I will try to not worry lol, but it should be ok like you said. It happens to people.

Once again thank you. Xxx

Your welcome lovely it is worrying when you first see it isn't it!. Keep an eye still like the nurse said and try and avoid injecting near there today if you haven't done it yet. I alternated sides each day and try not to rub it to much after injecting as I found that makes it redder xxxxx
