Burning Plastic?

Hello,

Can anyone help me please?

I was cooking a sticky toffee pudding and custard for dessert and accidently put the pudding on the hot hob. The pudding was in a plastic container so it started burning but I didn't notice until it started to smell and it was really bad. I took it off as soon as I realised but the bottom had already burned.

I'm really worried that the burning plastic was toxic and potentially harmful to baby. I'm really worried. I can't find much on Google. Can anyone let me know if this is ok or not.

Many thanks

Hey Tiggs

I am sure that it will be absolutely fine. I doubt you would have inhaled enough to be of any harm anyway. If you are still concerned then give your MW a call just to put your mind at rest.

Take care

Thanks for your reply Tess. Sometimes DH thinks I over react about things but it's hard not to! I just don't want to do anything wrong!

Hope you are well?
