baby bump

Well after all my moaning and whinging i've finally got a proper wee bump!
Its appeared as if by magic at the weekend and its pretty noticeable. Was at my parents yesterday and my mum and dad both said that they noticed a big difference. Now i'm beginning to really feel pregnant.

So i'm finally happy. Just waiting on the movements now! Oh its all so exciting.

Michelle do take pics of your bump as it grows, you WILL want to look back on it trust me!

Even if you don't show them off on here they are great to show your LO when it's old enough & you will feel nostalgic for it when your bump becomes a baby in your arms ;)

Hi Michelle

So glad to hear your bump has decided to show itself to the world. I'm sure the movements will start any time now.

My bump is definatley growing too. Can't wear any of my normal clothes now - today I am in full maternity gear! Got loads of jumper dresses from H&M for the winter, they are great, especially for pregnant women!

Let us know as soon as you feel your first flutter!

Hmm still dont know about taking pics of it. Maybe.

Lisa, cant believe you're in maternity clothes already! Are you sure theres just one in there?! My trousers are still too big but tops are getting a wee bit tighter. I've put on quite a tight, stretchy top today just so that i can see my bump!

Saw one of my neighbours when i was out with the dog but she didnt say anything. Was a bit disappointed at that. Maybe she just thinks i'm fat!

Might have a look in H&M tomorrow as i'm not at work til Wed this week. Hope they've got some good bargains.

Dont worry i'll def let you know when i feel movements. I'll be bursting to tell people!

Michelle, so pleased to hear of your bump! You'll start to notice your bump growing by the hour now! Do take pics. I was reluctant at the beginning but I'm so happy that I did it now. If you take them every four weeks its amazing to look back and see just how much change there has been.

I'm still wearing non-maternity clothes although they aren't very comfortable! Only yoga pants and trousers with the flies open (thank goodness for fabric bump belts), although some of my hipster skirts fit as I can pull them up over the bump :D

H&M do some great stretchy black trousers for £10. They are really comfy.

I really regret not taking photo's of my bump. I would do it. If you never look at them again, it doesn't matter!

Hi Michelle,
Excellent news that bump has arrived, don't worry people will have notice this. I have wardrobes opposite bed with mirrors - not for that! but its great to see bump, when lying flat it ain't very big but at the end of the day and food and all it's growing nicely. Mine changes too some days it's smaller than other days, must be to do with food eaten I suppose. I hope we both feel baby soon it would be great if it happend on the same day! God nearly forgot urgh nips are leaking stuff only found this out inside bra looked like dandruff yuck and when I squeezed nips watery/white stuff came out wow! This also happens when I press down on boobs, have had to stop doing this sure it's not healthy - makes boobs ache more. So went to Boots for nip pads to sort them out.

Take care not long now till 20 weeker.

Michelle, hun
Glad that your bump has officially arrived. As for feeling baby move: You may actually be feeling it already, but just not recognising it for what it is. I certainly did not when I first felt movement but realised that that is what it must have been a week or two later.
Hazell: Your bump will arrive soon too, don't worry. Take my advice, stat wearing maternity tops/dresses and you will see that what little bit is there very quickly becomes much more obvious. In my uniform half the staff still can't see my belly and some still don't realise that I am PG (at almost 31 weeks!!!!) while a quick change into maternity wear makes my belly so obvious. I love it!

Rene - You'll not believe how glad i am that bump is finally here. Got myself worked up into thinking something was wrong as there was no sign but it majorly ballooned over the weekend so i'm a lot more relaxed about it now. I still think its mad that the baby is moving around loads in there but i cant feel it. Dont know if i have felt anything at all tho as i dont feel any different there at all but maybe then. I'll let you know when i first feel it and see if any thing has felt like it before.

Michelle

All I have had recently is people saying 'OOh, i did'nt show until I was over 6 months and, i worked right up until the day before the baby was born and didn't have any pg symptoms at all '- well lucky bloody them!!!
So apparently - it's normal not to show until almost giving birth according to some people and I am a freak as I was showing around 17 weeks!!

Hi Michelle,
People at work can't believe how big I am but I know for a fact its because of food eaten, it really bloats up. Other ladies have commented on how they were not as big as me at this stage - basically everyone is different. One of my students who only had a month to go didn't even look pregnant, but I saw her scans there was a definate baby in there.

Just you wait, your bump will expand very quickly. I think we all forget how lucky we are not to be in agony with these huge bumps and baby movements, so I'm trying to enjoy this as I have a feeling things will soon get worse the bigger you get.

Felt a humongous kick in the bath last night - the first one. I was wallowing and felt a ripple accross stomach and felt my tum lower down and wack, I could feel this through everything. I'm sure the kid has it in for me another sign - last two scans flubber turned his back to me and will only perform for Craig. So I wonder if I will get any more, it does seem that you feel things when you are really realxed and not thinking about it too much. I'm not worried about not feeling too much there is loads of time to go for that. It did bring a huge smile to my face though.

I'm sure your baby is lying in wait ready to wallop you soon!

sweety, i had stretch marks at 12 weeks hun, and a proper bump. i think it depends very much on the person, but to be honest, i was so proud of my bump, i would have wanted one straight away if i could, i was happy to be bumpy early, not sure about the stretch marks tho, the streatch mark fairy should have kept them for herself, lol!

LOL!! And mine too Cookie - she doesn't distribute evenly does she??

As for showing/not showing .. ignore those idiots- some people think that once you get a pregnant belly - or not- that its public property. You wait until you get hands all over it from random people - now thats annoying!! :D

Rene, there is a huge difference in the way you can make your bump look in normal and maternity clothes!! :D
