Bleeding at 14 weeks - so scared

I am trying to stay positive as I had bleeding about 10 days ago and everything was fine, but this time it's different. Its bright red rather than the dark brown it was last time. I have called the midwife who has said to go to the early pregnancy clinic at 8am tomorow. I'm not sure that I can wait that long. I haven't had any pain which I am hoping is a good sign. Looks like I have another sleepless night ahead of me!

Hope it goes ok today at the EPU. I'm sure it will just be a bit of adhoc bleeding and you'll be reasurred by a scan xxx

Morning everyone,

Thank you for your messages.
I went to A&E last night because the bleeding got much worse and I started having cramps. The goods news is that it stopped as quickly as it started and we heard the babys heartbeat so it seems there is no need to worry. I have taken the day of work today as I didn't get to bed til 2.30am and the doctor said to rest today. I hope this doesn't happen again, I can't cope with the stress!!!

Have a good day everyone.

That was a very bad scare Jasper. Hope you had the feet up for the day and that DH was looking after you.

I spoke too soon it's started again. ;(

Because I'm over 14 weeks I can't just turn up at the EPAC, I have to call my doctor in the morning and he will refer me for a scan the same day.

Whatever happens I think I will take the rest of the week off work, the stress is wearing me out!

Has this happenend to anyone else and then things gone on to be OK???

I'm not even crying today, just feel too numb.

Really sorry you are going through this.

I'd say definitely take the week off, and rest up.

Hope you are able to be seen tomorrow, and have a scan.

Take care xxx

Sorry that you are still having to go through all this stress. I bleed early in pregnancy and then again about 13 - 14 weeks when we went for scan everything was fine and the bleeding wasnt coming from womb etc. They couldnt pin point where it was coming from but did say they think it was due to everything expanding which was bursting blood vessels. Try to relax hun (easy said than done I know) and take it easy xx

Once again everything is OK, what a releif!

I can't beleive how difficult it was to see someone though. I called my doctor this morning thinking that they would just send me to hospital but I had to go in for an appt and she tried to send me to the EPAC tomorrow morning. Firstly there was no way I was going to wait until tomorrow morning and my midwife had told me that they are really strict and won't see you after 14 weeks. The doctor called them and I was right, so she spoke to the on call gynaecologist who said I could go to their emergency clinc. They can't explain where the bleeding is coming from or when it will stop or even how long I shoul leave it until I go back again. It's all very confusing. I have a midwife appt on Tuesday so I am hoping she can help me.
I just want it to stop so I can relax and enjoy being pregnant!!!

Thank you all for your messages, it really is so supportive at this scary time.

xx
