Hi mella

Straight away and I'm still showing 5 months later :snigger:

Seriously tho my uterus popped out straight away and I was in mat jeans by 12 weeks. Think it all depends as everyone is different. Some people get big straight away and some dont start showing for ages.

Congrats on the twins by the way - fab news. At least with identicals you definitley know that they're the same sex. xxx

I'm in my mat jeans now, have been since 10+weeks gone. I was only petite to start off with so I spose thats why I'm showing so much? Loving it though!

I was showing from the get go. The bloating from the IVF just seemed to turn into my bump. And I'm still showing 8 months after having the twins.!!

Now this may seem silly as Im only 5 weeks but my tummy has gone slightly harder than usual. It could just be bloating but I didnt have any meds so dont know what thats due to (over-eating probably :snigger:) x

Hello, dont worry, you are one of the lucky ones!!

We have all had this kind of panic during the first part of our pregnancies, its just normal.

Try and get an appointment with your gp to put your mind at rest if its really getting to you.

I have had several low points especially during the first tri, I think its just hormones because Im starting to feel better now im in my 2nd tri.

Always keep your eye on the prize at the end and that'll cheer you up every time x

Gobby don't worry girl, all will be 100% with the scan.

I didn't had any ms in my 1st tri, but had if a few time between week12 and 14. I don't eat more that usual, actually I am worried about that because I feel some days that I don't want to eat anything.

Pls let us know how the scan went, when are you going?

Hey Gobby

Don't worry, I am exactly the same. Only sick 4 times and nothing else. I'm now 14 weeks and longing for that lovely bump but I just look like I've eaten too much! I thought I would get double the symptoms and be massive by now but I've had my scan and all is fine!

Good Luck, not long till your scan!

Hello Ladies

Just for the record I feel the same. At 18 weeks, I've got a bit of a bump depending on what clothes I wear. On the one hand I want one and on the other I know I'm lucky to have it as late as possible!

I had no ms either and have yet to feel the babies move. I thought I'd have had that by now too...just waiting ...

Hi Mella

We're not going to find out the sexes. It's all been so scientific so far and we want the surprise on the day. Not that I'm saying that twins weren't a surprise! :snigger: I'm guessing they are both the same sex as lot of the twins are on here and there was barely any difference between the heartbeats. It's all guess work though ?(

For the record, I can feel them move now. Hurray! So it was 18 weeks for me. I've also officially got a bump. I've been trying to wear normal clothes for as long as possible but they are so unflattering. They made me look really frumpy and fat, whereas I finally tried on a plain maternity t shirt I'd bought for a £5 and it highlights my bump perfectly and still gives shape to my figure. I feel like a new woman. Everyone kept telling me to stay out of mat. stuff for as long as possible but for future readers DONT DO IT! They are made to flatter your shape! It does mean I'll have to do a bit more shopping though!

I do get back ache at the small of my spine and I feel like I'm about to have a prolapse sometimes :O but am doing my exercises so that should hopefully fade! I think I've been fairly lucky though. I don;t get any indigestion or heartburn. I do go to bed at 9.00pm and sleep through although in the last week or so I'm getting finding it a little harder to get comfortable and I flop about the bed like a beached whale

I also think I have double 'baby brain'! It's just embarrassing. I can't remember what I've just said seconds ago in the middle of a conversation and I don't seem to take in what ther people say. 3 times in 30 seconds I asked DH if he wanted tea or coffee!

Sorry this has turned into a novel! How are you and other twin mums to be getting on?
Sue xxx

Will I start showing earlier?

Hi, after a problematic first few weeks I've just had a 9 week "reassurance" scan and both twinlets are still there with little twinkly heart beats  I'm just wondering if I'll be in mat clothes earlier. I'm quite a big girl anyway and was left with a bloated stomach after my last lot of Ovulation Induction cos I got OHSS,and its never gone down so just wondering if this is the start of the bump. Its all starting to feel real now

Hi Hyacinth, I didn't get OHSS, but my general bloating after tx never disappeared (or disappeared at the same rate as the bump appeared!) and I had a definite instantly noticeable bump by 12 weeks and had already started wearing maternity jeans before that. Great news that your scan was good :D.

Hi Claire, you sound smaller than me? This week, I tried on a maternity dress that I was wearing when I was about 6 to 7 months pregnant with my little boy and it's too small - pulls around the tummy (gaping buttons so attractive - not!) I've been showing since I was less than 12 weeks, probably by about 9 or 10!!!

Roxy, yes, from your descriptions it sounds like your bump is bigger! Anyway, you can judge for yourself as I posted a pic of my 17w bump today in my diary
That was the morning version of the bump, it's always much bigger in the evening as I just get bloated!
