How do they decide whether to give u long or short protocol?

I think it comes down to what the clinics think, and they all have their own opinions about which is better for egg quality etc, mine always preferred long protocol for some reason, which means joyous down regulation Good luck

Gennet Prague

I love Gennet, they were the only ones who managed to get me pregnant and so I will always feel forever indebted to them! We flew out from Stansted with Easyjet - dead easy by train from London. There are loads more Gennet ladies on another forum. Please do feel free to PM me for more details. Gennet changed my life forever for the better, they really did.

Twins colic and reflux!!!!

Our daughter suffered with reflux and we found colief and aptimil comfort worked the best for her. They do grow out of it, but it's very tiring to say the least at the time.

Can any twin mummies put my recent crazies at ease?

I can't help with he Braxton hicks sorry as I didn't have those, but my first really strong kick from one of my twins was at twenty weeks, and I hadn't really felt anything before that! I nearly jumped out of my skin as it was a real boot in the stomach (which she still does now given the chance, from the outside). Both my placentas were anterior and I was also told it takes longer to feel movement with those. I don't think you need to worry about movement at all at this stage especially as both...

bleeding after twin birth emergency c sectiin

I bled for about eight weeks. I also remember what you describe, it lightening and then suddenly being heavy again. I read up about it and it's something to do with the uterus contracting back down a few weeks after the birth, and quite normal.

Removed from waiting list without being told!

Hi This all sounds awful, I really sympathise. Can I suggest you find out the complaints or appeal procedure and go down that route. You should be able to be put back onto the list if your complaint is upheld. I imagine they will decide based on your reasons for turning down the appointments in April. If your reasons for that were given over the phone rather than in writing you could put them in writing and maybe also embellish your reasons a bit for the sympathy vote! Good luck.

Clinics in Cyprus

Can't comment on Cyprus sorry but my treatment in Prague was excellent. I must say I've heard mixed reviews on Dogus too so I wouldn't be in a hurry to go there! X

Pregnancy and Work!

Congrats! You could try to get a reduced duties note from your GP due to your twin pregnancy. Your employer then has to reduce your workload but not your pay.

Array with Embryoscope: any experiences?

This is all very new technology and I agree there is likely to be an element of them wanting the results for their own purposes. We have used array cgh (own eggs) and embryoscope ( donor eggs) and to be honest I'm not sure you need both if you're having array cgh? As that will tell if you the embryos are chromosomally normal anyway? If they want the results then they should use the embryoscope free! Me personally, I'd tell them you can't afford the embryoscope as well and that you're paying for ...

Sorry not much help but I have read that some people warm up the vial of oil first (in their bra was one comment lol) I did find them painful, did it in thighs though which I preferred. Did you get on any better today? Hope it does the trick for you x

repeat early pregnancy loss

Hi Princess I really feel for you, you have had a terrible time. Although I have never miscarried I have never been naturally pregnant and although problems with my own eggs were also discovered, I had the immune tests done and a number of immune issues were found which also needed to be treated before I became pregnant. Even then I became very ill at 23 weeks and although there's very little research on it I believe this was as a result of my own immune reaction as well. During the time I was i...

Gestone injections

Yes, they are expensive. I can't remember the details as I swapped from the Czech version (cheap) to Gestone (expensive) but by that point I was pregnant and I didn't care about the cost. It's a pain though, things are so much more expensive over here and I'm sure they make a massive profit out of us. All I can say is that I bled early every time with pessaries and on the gestone/agolutin (Czech version) I never bled once. I also had a BfN cycle on it before my BFP and didn't bleed on that until...

Gestone injections

As you know I didn't have any bleeding at all and I also did them myself. The needle is a whopper but looking at it was worse than the injection, I found! I was pretty blasé about needles after five cycles, though...!

Too much hormone and egg quality

It was better egg quality for me because I had much less fragmentation of embryos on gonal f. It was the clinic who suggested the change of stimulation drug and when I read up on it I found there's a fair amount of evidence to suggest different drugs work better for different people. One of them (I can't remember which) includes just LH and the other LH and FSH (sorry I forget the details it's a long time ago..) So I think it might just be the opinion of your particular consultant! Having said t...

8 cell and 6 cell success anyone?

The very earliest to test really is 14 days after egg collection (11dp3dt) but even that is earlier than many clinics recommend. I understand what you mean though and preferred to test myself on that date if AF had not arrived by then. I had a strong positive on 9dp5dt but with twins.
