Anyone starting now or started recently? April 2019

Hi Carlie, I remember you from last time too. I'm so sorry to hear that your FET wasn't successful. It's a really tough journey and the failed cycles are so hard to recover from. I'm sticking with the RFC, I've found everyone there so friendly and helpful that I dont really want to change. This will be my 2nd private cycle with them after my NHS cycle, so third in total. All of them have been full cycles as we've never been lucky enough to have anything to freeze. I looked into GCRM but thought ...

Looking cycle buddy’s! Hoping to start April

What clinic are you at? My appointment didn't take the full two hours, we were out in just over an hour as we knew everything really as it was all the same as last time. Hope everything fits in around Liverpool for you!

Looking cycle buddy’s! Hoping to start April

I'm doing fine on the sprays, no real side effects except maybe a headache or two, though its hard to know if it's the sprays. They didnt really bother me last time either. You all ready for your appointment on Thursday? X

Medication advice

I've had a couple of failed cycles and I am a slow responder despite good AMH levels. On both failed cycles my medication dose was increased mid cycle. I had a pre treatment consultation for our 3rd cycle yesterday morning and the nurse told me that the dose you start on is really what determines the amount of follicles. When they up your dose mid cycle it will help the eggs that are already there grow and mature but it wont start any more growing. I didnt realise this through either of my cycle...

Looking cycle buddy’s! Hoping to start April

Hi ladies, I've just started on sprays yesterday. Had my PTC yesterday which was day 22 for me so went in convinced I hlwas waiting another month to start but they let me start yesterday! I just posted a thread about getting started and looking for buddies before I noticed this one! I think I remember you both from when I was on here before with my previous cycles. I've taken a good long break from everything IVF related to help me relax a little, but I'm excited to get started now!

Anyone starting now or started recently? April 2019

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've been on here, not sure if theres anyone still about who may remember me (hopefully you've all got your bfps and are no longer on this forum!) I took a break from all things IVF related for a few months after my last failed cycle. A little about myself - I'm 33 as is my hubby. Hubby has zero sperm in ejaculate (a blockage of some sort) so has to have a biopsy to retrieve it. We had our NHS go in April/May 2018, got 4 eggs, transferred 2 on day 3 with no s...

Anybody starting in oct :-)

Hi Hopefully, I'm doing ok. Coming to terms with the failed cycle noe so feeling better than I was. Looking forward to Christmas abd then we're going to try again in the new year maybe around April time. Give ourselves a few months to get our heads together and it's my best friends wedding in November so want to wait so I'll still be able to go to that. Good luck for your FET in the new year x Congrats Cherry, that's great news! Fingers crossed for everyone x

Hi Ash, I'm so sorry to hear your news. It really is devastating, but it's great that you have some frosties. After my failed nhs cycle i got my review appointment less than 7 weeks after my test date. I thought it would be much longer to wait as the letter said 10-12 weeks and I had looked into getting a private appointment to hurry things along but in the end didn't need to as the appointment let her came fairly quickly. This time it was private with rfc but my appointments was only 4 weeks af...

November cycle buddies

Hi Martha, I really hope your appointment went well and that they were able to get sperm from your hubbys sample. I just want to say that I understand how your feeling. My hubby doesn't produce any sperm, none of his samples whether any and he had to give a few to make sure it wasn't a fluke too. However they were able yo extract sperm surgically from hubby to use in icsi treatment so there's another option if it wasn't great news today. If he was producing sperm before then may be there's some ...

Great news, Pup! Personally I would go for two as it gives you a better chance of at least one sticking but you'd have to be prepared twins. Misty, I'm sorry there wasn't more fertilisation for you. I'm sure you're really disappointed but it does only take one so try to stay positive. Fingers crossed for both of you x

Thanks for answering all my questions! I'll def ask about changingvthd protocol and see if it might make s difference. I'd love to get a good amount of eggs to have a better choice at ET and it would be amazing to get some frosties. I hope you get good news about fertilisation tomorrow x

Thanks misty. My first two cycles are very similar to yours. 1st was 150 menopur upped to 225 and stimming for a week longer than planned. 4 eggs, 3 fertilised, 2 put back on day 3. 2nd was 225 bemfola upped to 300 and stimming for 5 days longer than planned. 5 eggs, 5 fertilised, 2 early blasts put back on day 5. No frosties from either cycle. The long protocol obviously worked much better for you. Did you ask to be changed or did they suggest this for you? What clinic are you with? How long wa...

Hi Misty, can I ask how many eggs you got from your previous cycles and what you did differently to get 17 this time? That's a great number! I've had 2 cycles so far and got 4 eggs first time and 5 eggs second time so would like to know how to improve on that x

BFN I'm just so devastated. Even though, I expected it. I just can't believe it hasn't worked again. Feels like it's just never going to happen for us.

Still feeling like I'm out already and not really looking forward to tomorrow as I think it will just confirm my suspicions. But at least I'll know either way, that's got to be better than being in the 2ww limbo. I'll let you guys know how I get on xxx
