Thanks girls. You've all made me feel so much better. I'm definitely going to take your advice and try and get her to bed a bit earlier - we have tried before but she just cried - but perhaps we didn't persist enough. I find myself obsessing about everything - whether she's putting weight, how much she's sleeping, head control etc that I feel I can't just enjoy her - sounds silly doesn't it!!! To top it all we think she is teething and I can definitely see white in her gums - eek!!

Hi Girls, I've ummed and aahed about posting about this but have given in. Ria was born 7 weeks prem and is about 15 weeks now. The thing is - given the chance she would sleep all day. Yes yes I know this is every mums dream but I'm worried that she isn't as alert as she should be. For example today she woke up at 6, had a play and feed for about an hour, slept from 7- 9 when I woke her up as we were going out. Slept in her pram until 11, fed for half an hour then slept til 1.30 when she woke up...

Topping up?!

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice on this thread. My little girl feeds every 3 hours but sometimes goes every 2 and god help us sometimes every hour! I feed her one breast per feed for as long as she wants unless she starts getting frustrated and then I swap her. I was expressing so that my dh could do some feeding and also as we give her her vitamins in a bit of expressed milk but it reallly stresses me out finding time to express inbetween feeds. We tried her on formula last night and i...

Despair - any recommendations for good maternity trousers

Please help!! I'm sat here at work with the button and zip undone on my horrible Dotty P maternity trousers and am despairing because if these don't fit properly I have nothing to wear (on my bottom) to work tomorrow! Anybody got any recommendation for good maternity trousers. I don't seem to get on with the type that have an elastic / button adjustmenty thingy and I desperately need something comfortable or I'll be coming to work in my jim jams!!! How can maternity trousers be alternately loose...

Room for another??

Tracey - I feel like we deserve a big pint of cold virtual lager for getting this far. (Actually I had a cheeky lager shandy on Saturday...) You've done so well balancing a house build and all the horrible things that have happened over the past few months and I'm hoping that these last few months will just fly by and before you know it you'll be in your beautiful new house, holding your beautiful new baby. Travel Systems, Prams and Pushchairs

Heh Heh - we had our pram delivered last Wednesday and we were pushing it around the living room with bags of sugar in it to simulate baby weight. It's now safely in the understairs cupboard but we keep getting it out to 'familiarise' ourselves with it!! Mrs A - do you have your pram now??

soothing music

We got given a CD for wakeful babies which we play every night (no harm in starting them off young) but DH says it makes him hungry (!). I also play Take That (yes I am sad) and we read a Miffy book to bump everynight. I'm so aware that none of this will make any difference but it helps us bond with the baby! Bet the baby will be sick of hearing about Miffy and her mum and dad by the time she is born and certainly will start wailing at hearing 'patience' again!!

Another 3d Scan

Hi Girls, Went for our 3d scan on Friday and it was amazing!! I've attached some images for you. She is breech at the moment with her legs firmly in my groin. She is measuring exactly as she should for this stage - which we were relieved about as we've had the usual comments of 'ooh your bump is small' etc. So here are a few pictures for you. We got 43 in total along with a dvd of the whole scan. It was the best money we've spent and a drop in the ocean compared to what we've spent on IVF!!

SECOND TRI - Movements and kicks

Hi I have an anterior placenta and mainly feel movement very very low down (like she's dancing on my bladder). At my 24 week appt, my midwife told me I should feel 10 'movements' a day but if there was a 24 hour period where I didn't feel anything then to ring her and she would be straight over to check. Some days she is very quiet but yesterday she kicked the bejesus out of me what felt like all day. She only calms down when hubby tries to feel a kick and then she goes mysteriously quiet!! Take...

Thanks girls - I knew you'd be able to help with my silly questions. I know she's okay because she is kicking lots as we speak. I'm hoping that she was just playing about with her cord or sleeping - bless her - she scared the bejesus out of both of us last night!! Feel better now!

Heartbeats and Dopplers

Hi Girls, First of all, I know if you buy a doppler and use it at home you have to use it with extreme caution knowing that sometimes it can cause problems but I do have a question and wondered if anyone could help.. We only use our doppler once a week (on a Wednesday night) so that we can both bond with the baby. Last night everything was going as normal and we could hear the heartbeat very clearly and also hear movement (and I could feel the movement!) but after a few minutes the rapid heartbe...

Hi Jaid, I've only just read this and want to pass on my love to you. It must be so much to take in but as has been said, at least you know that in all other respects your baby is well. Sending you lots of hugs
