We are expecting Twins!

I always used to worry before a scan. I think its quite normal. I used to think someone would take these little ones away from me. That was my paranoia for a lot of the pregnancy. I relaxed after my 20 week scan. I wish is been calmer earlier as pregnancy is so exciting. Please try not to worry about symptoms. I didn't really have any. Had little or no sickness. No sore boobs and even tiredness was limited. Wishing you all the best for Thursday. X

Fighting non stop about everything

Ros - Firstly - please dont worry... From my experience... Its absolutely normal. They are pushing the boundaries to see how far they can go and see when you'll break (which of course you wont)... My 2 do fight, pull toys off each other, push, bite and anything else you'd care to think of dependant on the day. Things have got alot better over the last few months though. They go to Nursery 4 days a week and I sometimes get told that they havent had "kind hands" through the day. We re-enforce this...

Starting Maternity Leave

I stopped work at 31 weeks, which i must admit was delighted about. I thought i'd give myself loads of time to myself and get ready for everything. I live up north but work in London but was thankful that i was able to work from home every 2nd week really. It was a stressful time before i left but did manage to stay up until the day i wanted. I had 3 weeks holiday to take and then maternity would kick in... My holiday was finishing on Monday 1st June. I gave birth on the 29th May. Perfect timing...

Baby bibles?

You're instinct is the best bible you'll ever have.... No one but no one will ever be able to tell you whats right/wrong for your 2. Believe me... ive listened to people's advice KNOWING that i shouldve done something else and i was right. Hope to catch up with you all at some point... C & L need to meet up with their new buddies... x

Maternity pay??

I believe if its just SMP that you are getting - you are entitled to this anyway. If your company are giving you more than just SMP then i think that might have to be paid back - dependant on whats in your terms and conditions. Some of my friends never had to pay back anything at all but others have My company paid 6 months full pay - so if i dont go back - i would have to pay them 6 months LESS the SMP payment... Hope this helps...Try not to worry..

Baby gym for twins?

We used to have the same as Bubbles (TinyLove)... Our 2 loved it and comfortably fitted on it for months...A friend of mine had the Taf one but didnt seem to have alot of stuff on it, although great for size... Now we have padded floor tiles for all the falls that occur... Oh yes - my 2 kick the living crap out of each other too... BUT it doesnt seem to hurt or phase them...

Keeping an open mind: C-Section vs. Natural Vaginal Delivery (NVD) in TWINS!

Hey there, ive only just seen this.... I havent read the full thread so apologies... Bubble is correct, our boys were delivered naturally - No epidural, just gas and air... I'd spoken with our consultant and said i would go with the flow but would like to give it a go, if all was ok - ie: both heads down....I wanted to stay as mobile as possible but once i was about 4-5cm dilated i was asked to get on the bed so that the twins could be monitored... Anyway - the staff where great and like you've ...

Advice on sleeping twins

I had the boys initially in Moses baskets until we moved them into their own room... We then used a divider in the Cotbed for a little while and then when we came back from holidays we have seperated them and put them both in their cotbeds... Our eldest boy seems to be the one that doesnt settle very well and if he cries it doesnt wake the other little one... If the other way round however, it does rouse the elder... It will come to you, i promise... x

NCT Classes

We did NHS ones and NCT... My DH was frustrated with the NHS one and only went to 2 out of the 6.... I went to both though... NCT - We went to evening ones... have to say though, being pregnant and having to go out for 2hrs in the evening was not what i wanted to do... I wouldve loved to do Day ones but then DH wouldnt have been able to attend... It was important for us as a couple that we were able to talk about things that were discussed in the classes... Like Bubbles said - the ladies on my c...

Acupunture with chinese meds

BG - i got told alot of the same things you've been told....ie: not drinking water cold , not eating salads etc.... You do what you can with the info... you're doing something which will hopefully make you relaxed... not stress you out....If its going to stress you out then its not worth it.... TTC has been one of the hardest things that ive ever had to go through.... In total it took us approx 5 years...You have no control of it.... and when you're a control freak like me, that takes some doing...

Acupunture with chinese meds

i did acupuncture and herbs before my 2nd treatment of ICSI.... I continued the acupuncture throughout but i stopped the herbs as my clinic would not treat me if using chinese herbs at the sametime... Something worked though as i'm now 34 weeks pregnant. I found it made me very relaxed, but maybe that was the doing something else aswell... Wishing you all the luck

Cot bed advice please

We've gone very plain.... as we dont know what we're having yet.... So - walls are Sand White (so white really, although did think they were going to be a little darker).... Furniture is Oak. Got caramel black out blinds So bedding at the moment is Creams/Whites.... However, we've got the actual bedding for when they get a little older... which is called Zanzibar... Its all animals... and i love it.... So we've got the nappy stacker/rug/cot bumper, sheets and quilt... so a little overkill when w...
