Pink Discharge

Hi, my wife is 19 weeks pregnant and yesterday noticed a very slight pink discharge. She hasnt noticed this before and I am concerned as we have had two miscarriages previously, although we've never got this far along the pregnancy before. I dont want to worry her buy getting her to phone the midwife if its not neccessary as she's been worrrying enough so far. We only saw our midwife this week and she did prod around quite a bit so I'm hoping its just a result of that and nothing too sinister. C...

Newbee FET

Hi, Just read your story and hope I can add something to make you feel better. My wife and I have too suffered my MC, 2 in total. They were both conceived naturally, the second became a Molar Pregnancy. After this we were referred to various clinics (Barts, Charing Cross, Kings Lynn) and have most recently been treated at Bourne in Cambs. After our first IVF cycle was unsucesful, we went through a FET, prepared for the worst after the disappointment of the IVF cycle. However, to our delight, my ...

Headaches

Hi, my wife is just over 13 weeks pregnant and has had a stinker of a headache that wont shift for 2 days now. It kept her awake most of last night and has caused her to be sick 3-4 times. She has spoken to NHS Direct this morning and they've said she's ok to take paracetamol, but if it doesnt clear, go to see her GP tomorrow. I've seen headaches can be common in pregnancy, but would they normally last this long? My family have a history of migraines, but she has never suffered with them. I did ...

Pregnacare

Hi, We had our 13 week scan on Wednesday and after worrying for weeks leading up to it, everything is perfect. My wife asked the doctor about taking Pregnacare and whether she would continue taking them and after a bit of "errrm" and uncertainty he said no. He said its only really the iron that she would be benefitting from now and that may not be necessary. We're not particularly convinced by how he answered, can anybody help on this? Thanks

MORNING SICKNESS CHAT

Does anybody know if sickness can cause problems during pregnancy? My wife has suffered with sickness quite alot and its all day not just mornings. Last night after eating she was sick and said she felt like she'd pulled her tummy. Obviously worrying, but surely morning sickness is something most people get so cant do too much damage? Our doctor gave her some anti-sickness tablets but they dont agree with her either and make her feel lightheaded. Plus she doesnt like the idea of taking anything ...

10 Weeks Pregnant

we wondered whether the drugs would be intensifying the pregnancy hormones make and therefore making the sickness worse. Funny though, since Friday night, she has settled a bit. Was sick yesterday morning and again this morning, but she's happier now it seems to be just morning sickness not 24 hr sickness. 11 weeks today!!!

Bourn Hall Clinic, Cambridge

Probably a bit late but dependant on circumstances they will consider replanting two embryos. I think the age they start doing this is 38, but my wife is 37 and owing to a low egg count, we asked if they would put two back and they agreed. That was back in December and today my wife is 11 weeks pregnant. Bourne staff are superb, really amazing people. Couldnt recommend them highly enough.

10 Weeks Pregnant

Hi, Yeah she has been given progesterone which she has to take up until day 77 then half dose for a week. Hopefully if we're lucky enough for everything to be ok at that point when we reduce the doseage the sickness etc.. will ease.

10 Weeks Pregnant

Obviously I'm not feeling what she's feeling so its hard to describe, but what she said was she felt "tighter" around her tummy before, but now she feels like normal. Out of interest, how did you arrange your private scans, what it through your GP and paid to go private or through a private clinic?

10 Weeks Pregnant

Thank you for your replies, all reassuring to hear we "normal". Our doc has given us some sickness tablets today which we're going to give a try. Our pharmacist also recommended putting a small slice of root ginger in her mouth which apparently can help sickness so we'll try anything. Main concern is if she cant keep any food down, not only is she feeling terrible, the poor little one cant be getting any goodness. Hadnt thought of the suggestion of a private scan but will definatly look into it....

10 Weeks Pregnant

Hi, I am looking for some general advice and hopefully reasssurance. My wife is just over ten weeks pregnant following a frozen embryo transfer and has all the typical symptons of pregancy. We had the early scan which was all good about three weeks ago. In the last week, she has become increasingly sick to the point she cannot eat anything without bringing it back up again. I have searched and found this can happen but we are both anxioius. Previously we have had a miscarriage at around this tim...
