Too fat for treatment ........... :-(

Hi Kelly, Good to see your now positive attitude on losing the weight. I thought sharing my story with you might help a little too so here goes: My husband and I had been trying for 3 years and I was told that I had to do 3 things before they would even consider doing the IVF: Lose 4 stone so my BMI was under 30 Stop Smoking Stop Drinking It was a big challenge and it took me a year but I did lose the weight, quit smoking and stop drinking. I feel much healthier for it and although I was angry t...

Morning girls Shell - love your picture it's fabulous xxx AFM well I have a question - I am feeling regular nausea and occasional retching and nothing I do seems to help. However, I have noticed that I am hungry all the time and I mean I have severe hunger pains which make me feel really sick but I don't understand how I can be hungry as I am eating regular (every 1-2 hours) so that I don't feel too sickly. Anyone else getting severe hunger pains even though they eating regular? It's freaking me...

OMG the drama - we have just had a real live fire at work. Alarm goes off and me and my colleague are finishing our lunch so we sat still for awhile thinking it was a false alarm but it wasn't. We traipsed outside thinking it was a drill (had no coat of course) only to find one of the lads was injured from the fire and before you know it 5 fire engines and two fire marshall cars show up and there is an explosion risk so we have to leave the premises. We then proceeded to stand outside for an hou...

Morning girls Taxi - I had two rounds of the treatment and they took away pretty much all my cervix the second time but it was 5 years ago so I was hoping it would have healed somewhat??!!! Hoped they would put that stitch in and then let me deliver naturally as don't really want a caesarian (wanted to experience the birth) but if it's best for the baby I will x x x I will let you know what they say when I get to see them - thanks hun x x Alie - welcome to the deal hun x x Confused - everyone's ...

Hi girls, Thanks so much for all the advice. Incompetent cervix

Hi Hayley, I haven't been assigned my midwife yet as waiting for my first scan next Friday before hopefully the clinic transfers me to normal care so no-one to ask yet. Will mention it to the clinic when I go to the scan next week. I am concerned about it only because the consultant told me it would be an issue. My mam is fretting terrible about it as she remembered the consultant saying it too. They would normally do a cerclage which is a stitch of cord through the cervix effectively closing it...

Incompetent cervix

Please help I had treatment on my cervix after discovering pre cancerous cells back in 2005 and then again in 2006. The consultant who did my treatments told me that if/when I conceived a child I would be at high risk of an incompetent cervix due to the comprehensive treatment I had to have. I have read up on it but the general consensus is that the hospitals/midwifes don't concern themselves with this unless you have had a previous miscarriage. Obviously after ttc for 4 years and finally gettin...
