A poll for mamas of twinnies!

Added my Boy/Boy Twinnies too, to make up the numbers! Happy to provide a response for the natural AND C-Section delivery option too. I wish i'd been able to read through al the info/ these forums in the pregnancy but i was too sick to read a screen or books, so it's really interesting to read all about everyone with twins now. Best Wishes Alex

Are Twins always born via C-Section???

Hi I was told i had a choice too and said i'd like to try for natural deliveries, although advised to have an epidural in case of complication with twin 2. Both mine were head down but i was told that after twin 1 pops out, sometimes twin 2 can turn or be awkward. As it happened, twin 1 did indeed just 'pop' out at 32 weeks, very fast and with no time for an epidural. Complication did then arise with twin 2 and i had to have an emergency section for his, under general anaesthetic, so i missed hi...

Hello Everyone!

It is good to be back on here, reading everyone's good news and seeing some familiar faces. Am now in the 2nd trimester too - should be around 16 weeks with the ICSI, but the dating scan put me back 5 days so i'm now officially 15+2. So far have spent about 2 months in bed, unable to do or eat much, but have managed to be out and about the past 3 weeks and despite the sickness, feels like a proper pregnancy now! Big twin and Little twin seem happy, they were bouncing around a bit at the scan. Wa...

FIRST TRIMESTER CHAT - 2010

Oh my gosh there is a lot to read. Can't catch up on it now, the screen is making me nauseous, but congrats to those joining the 1st trimester and yey for those who had scans (emma, ktf and Bravegirl i read so far). Things got a little scary in our world, after 7 days of not being able to keep anything at all down, i went to hospital, where i was rehydrated with a drip and given a lot of anti emetics, and anti biotics for an infection i picked up whilst being sick. I stayed in a week, bored, but...

Weight Loss in Early Pregnancy due to MS? Any advice?

Hi Geordie and congrats With my first i had similar to you. I'm the same height and lost about a stone in total. Food didn't stay down, i was 24/7 nauseous and if it wasn't sickness it ws constant gagging. It was very tiring alongside not eating. My doctor was pretty useless and told me i could have tablets but they didn't like to give them out ??? Luckily that stage went by 12 weeks, after 4 weeks off work. I hated water too but managed ice chips, nothing else stayed down, not plain carbs or an...

FIRST TRIMESTER CHAT - 2010

Thanks Emma Well i googled and picked the first one...it gave a number of options for dates to put in with notes, so i've gone for date of EC. I'll change it if necessary when the scan comes along. One of us is right surely as i think we had EC and transfer on the same day? (5th and 10th for me). Alex

FIRST TRIMESTER CHAT - 2010

How do you count how far along you are, when you've done IVF? Is it somehow from the date you have EC, which for me was 5th Jul. Going to see if i can work out one of these tickers to pass the time today

FIRST TRIMESTER CHAT - 2010

Hi everyone, thought i'd finally start joining this forum too. Got my BFP last Fri (and also on a sneaky little early one last Weds) after ICSI and PGD. I *knew* when specific symptoms arrived last Monday - heightened sense of smell, nausea most of the day, little interest in food and the AF pains trailing off in favour of more 'stretchy' pains. I've got an older child and had the exact same symptoms although later on, from 7 weeks. I spent about 25 weeks of that pregnancy feeling sick and 6 wee...
