Anyone starting in September?

Yeah I remember the nurse topping up the drugs automatically last time when I was making pain noises. I'll be having all the drugs they offer lol! Hubby has to have a biopsy and last time he was on the gas and air and he was swearing at the Dr and nurse lol. I was mortified! Hopefully he's better behaved tomorrow! I'll keep you updated! Let me know how things go with your little embabies! X

Anyone starting in September?

Glad transfer went well, hopefully! It's so cool to see the embryos going in on the ultra sound, I was in awe of that last time! Fingers crossed for you both. Enjoy being PUPO and take it easy! It's cool that you will both be testing around the same time. The tww is torturous, I managed to wait until my otd last time but only because my hubby insisted we wait, I would have tested early if not for him. I'm so excited and nervous for tomorrow, just so worried about how many eggs we get! Plus I'm n...

Driving after embryo transfer

Thanks everyone, that's what I thought. I'll just double check with the Drs on Monday. I didn't have any pain relief or anything last time so should be fine I think. Wish hubby could be there but I'm sure I'll be fine on my own! X

Driving after embryo transfer

This is prob a silly question, but I should be fine to drive myself home after embryo transfer, right? I know your not supposed to drive after egg collection and just wanted to check. My EC is on Monday and my hubby goes away for work on Tuesday for 3 days so if it's a day 3 transfer he's going to miss it and I'd have to go by myself.

Anyone starting in September?

I had 2 put back last time but I had no real choice in that, it's just what the Dr decided. I think it was because my embryos weren't fantastic quality. I had two ok ones and one that wasn't doing great so they out the two ok ones in and kept the not great one to see how it went but it didn't keep growing. I liked the idea of having 2 chances in one go and I think if I had the choice I'd go for two again. You just need to be sure if you'd be happy with twins if they both stuck. It can be a riski...

Anyone starting in September?

No the 8 cell is better, I just thought they would have put both of ggirls ones back (the 8 and the 6 cell) as it was day 3. As g-girl says the 6 cell is slightly behind buy could still catch up. 4 x 8 cell embryos sounds great! Fingers crossed for Sunday x I had my scan this morning and it went well. Didn't give me any number but said there was a good few on my right side but not many on the left (but I know from last cycle that I have a cyst on the last so could be why there's not many there)....

That's good, g-girl. I would have thought they might have put bsck the 2 better ones but the 8 cell one must be a good one! And a possible one to freeze would be good. Good luck xxx

It really is. You keep thinking, I just have to get past this bit then it'll be easier, less worry but there's always something. I dreaded the calls to the embryologist! Good luck for tomorrow

Scan this morning went ok, still not ready yet but things are still moving which is good. Another scan on Friday morning and I think the Dr said I should he ready by then so think it might be Monday for EC. Hopefully, any news on fertilisation? Xxx

Top of the list letters!

Etoot, as hopefully has said it really depends on the person and ototocol you're following but thistle will be around 4/5 weeks from day 21 until EC and the last time it was around 6/7 weeks x

It's a good start anyway, ggirl. It's a nerve wrecking couple of days waiting to hear about your embryos. Day 5 is good as it means your embryos are all doing well, but day 3 doesn't mean anything bad. If you don't have too many embryos then I think it's more likely to be day 3 as they will choose the best embryos and put them back in (as that's the best place for them) and see how the others get on for possible freezing. That's what happened with me last time, 3 of my 4 eggs fertilised, the bes...

Anyone starting in September?

Awww amazing news g-girl! Ive been waiting patiently for your update! So glad they've all fertilised. Fingers crossed they all keep growing well! You just can't fault the nurses at all. They are all so friendly and caring. Even the other day when I was collecting extra meds I had to go through maternity to get in as the main door was locked up, the nurse apologised for making me go through that way, just nice that she understands something like that is hard for us x

New and need help

Sorry waiting8, I don't have any experience of this either. It sounds horrible, I'm sorry you are going through this. I think Jo31's suggestion of writing down all your questions etc is a great idea as you tend to forget things when your under pressure. Definitely let them know about your bmi. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck with the phone call xxx

I completely understand your disappointment, g-girl. I was the same last time as I only got 4 eggs but u still ended up with two good embryos to transfer. Do try to stay positive, quality over quantity is important and as you say it only takes one! Fingers crossed that they all fertilise for you xxx I found egg collection sore enough and very uncomfortable (though they did have trouble getting at my ovaries and the nurse had to press down on my tummy) but it was bearable. The drugs help! The sta...

Scan this morning. Things are going better, they didn't say anything about numbers but seemed happier with the process. Took blood again and I've to stay on the same meds and back in either Wednesday or Thursday (depends what they say when I phone this afternoon). They said that when they up the dose you have to stay on the meds a few days longer so I'm thinking it might be Monday for egg collection but I don't know for sure x
