Thinking of doing a FET cycle after Christmas but very Nervous

Hi,I had my little boy (now 4) as a result of a natural fet. It was very quick and easy and no stress. We've since had another baby from another fresh cycle and hope to use our one remaining embryo very soon! I have a consultation booked for the end of the month and I'm hoping to be able to start a natural fet on my next cycle. Do you think you'll be going for it soon? If so it would be nice to stay in touch?

Streak of blood at 5 weeks pregnant

Hi Hayley! Wow, long time no speak!! Yes, we had one more go at icsi in may and so far so good! Our little boy has just turned 3 and we tried with the 3 frozen embryos we had left but had no luck. With him growing up so fast we really wanted him to have a sibling so we just decided to go for it! How are you? How old are your gorgeous little twins now?

Streak of blood at 5 weeks pregnant

Thank you, there has been no more since so I'm really hoping it was just the pessaries. My scan is not for another 3 weeks so will just have to wait and see and hopes there's no more. Thanks for the reassurance

Streak of blood at 5 weeks pregnant

Sorry in advance for tmi, but I'm 5 weeks pregnant after ivf treatment and when I wiped earlier I had a big clump of thick cm streaked with red blood. I panicked and rang the clinic and the nurse suggested it could be that my cervix is irritated from the pessaries (cyclogest) Has anyone else had this please?

We Did It

Oh wow! Thats amazing! Congratulations!!! Can I ask the specifics if you dont mind please? I see your dh has a low sperm count, how long had you been trying for and what did you do differently? Sorry to be nosy but we've been told that I will never concieve naturally as my dh has a rapidly decreasing sperm count - 2 mil per ml and last count only 100,000 total. Thanks, and huge congratulations again, bet you're both in complete shock!!

Getting Ready for Fet,,, Advice Urgently Needed

Hi, just want to wish you luck for your FET. I had my little boy as a result of my first fet, so it does work!! Are you doing a natural or medicated cycle? There isnt really anything else you can be doing, unless you want to take a multi vitamin which includes folic acis instead of just your folic acid? I took pregnacare conception. Other than that, just try to relax and rest as much as possible. Good luck

Advice re increasing our chances of success

That's brilliant news Macksie, congratulations!! I think I remember you from before too? Thinking about it, the first icsi we did which was BFN, I was working as a child minder and didnt want to tell all the parents about the treatment so fitting appointments around work and making up excuses for time off was really stressful. This time round I'm a stay at home mummy, so although that brings its own stresses, I have no one to answer to!! So hopefully that will make things calmer and easier. I th...

Advice re increasing our chances of success

Thank you all for the replies! Emma, we really are in the same position, my little boy was born in May 2011! It would be lovely to stay in touch, roll on May!! Chaz84- Thank you, wishing you all the best with your cycle. Hi Daisy, I will speak to the clinic about the Endometrial scratching, thank you. We have a really brilliant clinic (Wessex at the Freya centre, Southampton) They have been so helpful through all our ups and downs and have frozen a back up sample from DH free of charge to take s...

Advice re increasing our chances of success

Hi all, I just wondered if anyone could give me any advice on what I can do ie diet and life style changes, to increase our chances of success when we have our next icsi cycle? Bit of back ground- me-34 with no fertility issues. DH-33 with severeley low sperm count (last sa was 100,00 in total only a few moving). We have had one round of icsi which resulted in 6 'perfect' embryos all between 6-8 cells on day 3. We had 1 put back-BFN, then a natural FET, 2 put back BFP and our beautiful boy was b...

LIFE IN THE LAB - FOR ALL OF YOUR SPERM QUESTIONS

Hi SS, dont know if you still come on here to help, but thought I would ask if you wouldnt mind giving me some advice re my husbands latest SA? He has always had very low results whcih the clinic has said looks like impending testicular failure. First round of tests for our first icsi went from 2million per ml (100% abnormal) to 100,000 total (no other info). We had sucess with a frozen embryo and had a baby boy. He was then re tested about 5 months ago and it showed only 40 sperm in total (no o...

High Viscosity?

Hello, my DH had a SA last week, he's had a few in the past and has a very low count which at the moment is 0.1 mil per ml. We have one little boy through icsi 2 years ago and are now seeing if we have the option to try again. The test last week showed something they hadnt mentioned before which is high viscosity. I know this means the semen maybe too thick for the sperm to swim through, but does anyone know if this can be something that can be changed? Any suggestions would be great thanks, he'...

Azoospermia no normal forms anyone had this and bfp?

Hi, sorry to hear this. Ours was only a slightly different situation as my dh had sperm in his sample but only 2 million (now decreased to just 40 sperm!) They were 100% abnormal. The clinic explained that during icsi they select the sperm with abnormalities only in the tails, as the tails are cut off anyway to inject! The head where all the dna is is fine its just those sperm would never have made a baby naturally as they wouldnt have been able to swim to the egg. Anyway, we had our first go at...

Is there any hope?

Hi, just to update you all. We had our follow up appointment at the clinic and my DH had a repeat SA, bad news, only around 40 sperm present in all!!! The consultant said it will probably continue to decline and has advised us to proceed with urgency into another cycle of ivf with icsi, something whcih we cant afford at the moment. He has only been on all his vits for a few weeks rather than months, so the clinic have offered us another sa in a few months time free of charge to see if there is a...

Desciper my results please

Hi, Im no expert but my dh has a very low sperm count so we've had lots of these tests! In my mind, it would read as tho you have a count of 4million per ml which is 14 million in total, of which 2.7 million per ml are moving (motile) This would be classed as a low sperm count as a normal count should be above 15 million per ml. I think you are doing the right thing taking the vitamins and try and lead a generally ealthy lifestyle and re-test in 3 -4 months time. If you still get numbers like th...

LIFE IN THE LAB - FOR ALL OF YOUR SPERM QUESTIONS

Hi Beth, sorry to but in, but just wanted to let you know that my dh had a very similar sa results to yours- 2 million per ml but no normal morphology at all. We have a healthy little boy as the result of icsi and then frozen embryo transfer. So it definitely does work. To sperm scientist, I was just wondering if the morphology is something that can change? We have our one healthy gorgeous boy that we are so thankful for, but from our other 5 seemingly perfect day 3 embryos, none of the rest of ...
