Officially in 2nd Tri

I just wanted to introduce myself to this section of the forum. I've now notice that my skin is now so sensitive. In the 1st trimester it was so smooth and spot free, now it isn't and it is such a headache. I know it is just the body reacting hormone changes. However, I did read that any improvements in skin tends to be in the 2nd tri. Anyone experiencing the same thing? And what are you using at the mo to clear spots/primples?

Sex in 1st Trimester?

I say go for it, providing it does not hurt. I'll be more scared of falling than having sex. I read that it tends to get even more enjoyable towards the 2nd Tri .

Maternity Care - your views could really help...

Hi everyone, Thank you so much for your encouraging words . I'm making every effort to keep my thoughts positive and to remain calm - cos I tend to get very anxious. I have my 1st appt with the mid-wife who telephoned last Fri 16th May, for this coming Sat. She sounds very nice, however, I guess you can only really make that judgement as time goes on. By then I shall be officially in my 2nd Tri. I have made a visit to the hospital that my GP recommended when I experienced my bleed and felt as if...

Maternity Care - your views could really help...

Hi, now that I've been discharged from my clinic, I would be most grateful if all mothers to be that have started their antenatal classes or have completed this stage to provide advice on what to take note of during such a visit. Are there any questions that should be asked during visits, particularly 1st visits? As some of you may agree, it can be a concerning matter and I feel so in-experience that I don't really know what to do (obviously, yes it is my 1st preg and with twins) . I really I'm ...

Pregnancy Yoga (inc DVD Recommendations)

how do you find the Davina McCall pre and post natel workout? I was going to order that, but opted for Prenatal Fitness Fix with Erin O'Brien (up-tempo) instead - which is fantastic, however I do love variation. It's helping to keep my arms and legs fit and trim whilst I gain the necessary weight on my stomach for my darling babies.

Found out yesterday ITS TWINS

My message got lost just now - try again.... We began our relationship early and b/4 we knew it, we were ready for a family. Glad we began early with no regrets as I can always develop and mold my career at any stage (now turned 26 and dh 29) and I think career minded people do forget that. Wishing you luck for the rest of the preg and delivery. Hon x

Found out yesterday ITS TWINS

I've been trying for about 6 yrs. I guess you can imagine the amount of times during that period doing a preg test and being dissapointed - so I and hubby are so glad! , esp on our 1st IVF too. We had to go private cos when a couple are relatively young the NHS can be unserious and tend to say oh you got plenty of time to explore ttc options but when you have been trying for that long you really just want to do what will bypass the things that medics don't know or find - if you get what I mean.

Found out yesterday ITS TWINS

I think I've got more time to think about it to be honest. Mainly, I put my trust in God who will work in every person involved in the pregnancy in some way and who I believe will guide me to think accordingly when needed. I've been ttc for years now, so v.happy and appreciative to be blessed with two babies thats on the way.

Found out yesterday ITS TWINS

When I went for my very 1st scan I was given the due date as 5th Dec but was advised that delivery could be earlier being twins. I'm not sure if you've used those due date calculators yet. I did, and for single preg it records 5th dec and twins as early as Oct. How are you coping? I'm trying to drink loads of water, which I started out well on but now I constantly get a dull taste in my mouth. Lightly mixing water with juice is not helping much and I hate doing that b'cos not sure if I'm taking ...

Bleeding

So sorry to here that too. I had red blood last week and I was in my 9th wk. I was so shocked and went to the hosp, but they turned out to be useless b'cos they could not do me a scan (no scan available or nobody to operate it) and that is obviously the important thing, having a scan. I say wait and see your clinic, particularly if it is not causing pain and have the scan. It should turn out fine for you. The scan will be able to tell you if your babies are surrounded by blood around their sac. ...

** SCANS - QUESTIONS AND CHAT **

Well I've been wearing a dress or a skirt for my scans. It is very easy to strip to your underwear if a transvaginal scan needs to be done instead of a belly scan. Good luck. It is such a wonderful experience when you see your baby or babies.
