Hi girls. Just a wee update for those who know me. My little boy, Noah was born last Mon 8th April weighing 8lbs 2 ozs. :-) For those who don't know me- hubby and I were told in Sept 2010 that we only had a 10% chance of conceiving with ICSI and a 1% chance naturally. My AMH was 2.7. To r amazement,we had a little girl after r first try. She is now 18 months old and just as we were about to start the process again at Origin, we discovered I was pregnant naturally! My AMH level had dropped to 2.2...

Mrs KMC: Big hugs and so sorry to hear your news. Good idea to get away for the weekend. My treatment at Origin was £4500 approx if that's any help. Mr Heasley is now there and he is meant to be one of the top consultants with over 25 yrs experience. He actually treated my friend around 12 years ago. She had IVF and has two lovely chn, the 2nd one of which was a frozen embie put back 5 yrs later. Dr Diakos is lovely and he worked at the clinic where the first IVF baby in the UK was born in 1978 ...

HI girls, Just realised my last message didn't go properly - seems to be a prob with sending from my phone. See it there now - prob makes no sense now - LOL! I have some unbelievable news - my period was late and I did a pregnancy test today just in case and I am pregnant, naturally! We have never been pregnant naturally and have been married almost 7 years. Can't believe that this has happened just as we were gonna start again. Am very thankful, but very nervous. Seeing doc on Fri to confirm. A...

Hi girls Roberta: Stay strong - thinking of you. Mrs KMc, the main thing is that embie is safely in there. Here's a funny story to cheer you up a bit. I have a weird shaped uterus. When it came to my ET the last time, I had never laid eyes on the lady who did it. Anyhow, she said 'Ooh there's a strange bend to the left!' The woman was sweating buckets and at one stage I honestly thought she wasn't gonna succeed. Anyhow she got there in the end. I was trying to reassure her! Hope your wee embie s...

Message from earlier disappeared- strange! Thanks girls for wishing me luck. They actually told me I should have been on a different regime the last time and was prob the only person in the clinic to get pregnant on it! They also have a new policy of potentially only putting one back, as opposed to two, but I signed for two potentially anyway. Mrs KMC - thinking of u and hope the phone call brings good news tomor. I only had two eggs that made it and were put back. Hopefully the best one of urs ...

Well done, Mrs KMC. Crossing everything for u. We have also got the go ahead, on the understanding it would take another miracle. Both a bit worse than last time. My new AMH is 2.2. Was expecting worse after two years since last result, so am happy enough. On the flare protocol again, but 5 days this time, so shorter. Planning meeting 31st July, hoping to start 7th Aug ish.

HI girls, Good luck for tomor Mrs KMC. It's really ok. Chrissie I had spotting on day 12 of the two week wait. Absolutely no other symptoms at all - everyone else was going on about sore boobs and cramps and I had nada! Enjoy your trip away. The Good Wife, The injections are fine - just think of the hopefully positive end result. It's not like a vaccination injection if that makes sense?! Lyn, How frustrating for you. Blooming AF never plays ball - hope yours comes asap. Roberta, Hope your AF st...

Hi Mollie, Yes I am enjoying every sec. Still can't believe it sometimes. Haven't told many people we r trying again. Those I have r being a bit funny about it. Seem to think I should stop with one. Let's face it, prob will, but I want to be able to tell her when she is older that we did try for a sibling for her. I would prob keep going, but hubby is adamant this should be the last go. So I feel a little strange. Was so sorry u lost ur LO - of course it will be difficult for u with due date app...

Back again...

HI girls, Cathcat here. I'm back for round two. Hi to Lessie, Mollie and Gilly - good to see some familiar faces. For those who don't know me, I had ICSI for the first timein Nov/Dec 10 at Origin. My AMH was only 2.7 and hubby had low sperm count, so was told it would take a miracle. Well, that miracle happened and I have a beautiful 9 month old baby girl. I thank God every day for her. Would love to give her a sibling, she has very few relatives - was advised by Origin to return just 6 weeks af...

Hi girls, Trying to type with Kayla sleeping on me - not easy! Thinking of you all and many congrats to Twinkletoes and Lou. Lou your labour sounds very similar to mine - thought she was never gonna come out- everyone else had gone home, bar one other girl! Worth it though. Beautiful names, girls. I shall be back on the forum hopefully later in 2012 when have finished breastfeeding, when we are gonna try for a brother or sister for Kayla. Have spoken to the clinic and can't afford to wait as my ...

Baby born!

Finally have got on to tell you all that Kayla Elizabeth arrived safely on Sept 22nd, ten days late, on grandad's birthday. 8lbs 4.5 ozs, 52 cm. Labour got stuck at 5cm and had to be induced. V.nearly a c section, but she appeared at the last minute, just as they were filling in the forms. She has bad colic, so am shattered, but so happy. Thanks so much for all your support. This site was a god send, especially this time last yr when we were told the bad news we were 85-90% unlikely to have a ba...
