PRAMS FOR TWINS

Hi Girls, We have Baby Jogger City Mini in Red and we love it it is the best folding double pram I have came across, it survived 8 flights trips and I would say it is the lightest and I never had a problem getting through a door. The Girls are nearly 3 now and we still use it and it is in perfect condition. Eli

Baby friendly paint

Hi Fuzzy, Decoration being my husbands business I can say Dulux water based Interior paints are perfectly safe (all their Interior range is waterbased/acrylic). and it actually does not smell that bad and the smell disappears very quickly, if lets say you decorate today you can safely use the room the next day. I can see you only have few days to go. Wish you all the best. Eli Just to add, I would recommend the 'Diamond Eggshell Finish' as it is easy to clean off those little hand stains from th...

What did your baby measure at around 10weeks 3days? i am a bit concerned and worried?

Hi Mim, I know that anything anyone says will not stop you from worrying. From my experience I can say that Doctors/consultants are not very good. At scanning no disrespect to the doctors just it is not their speciality and on top of that the baby is so smal now that it is very hard to measure correct, a tiny twinge of the hand will give you a completely different measurement. I had a scare with the measurements myself at 35 weeks a very very good doctor/consultant scanned me and told me that th...

Scan at 6w+4 - too early?

Just to add that most clinics do 8 weeks scan to confirm heartbeat so I would think 6+4 would be a bit early

Scan at 6w+4 - too early?

I am not an expert but I would say is just a tad early for a heartbeat, and I think it is a good thing she saw a yolk sack. Due to a med condition and a treatment I had to have at the time I was scanned at 3.5 weeks pregnant and at the time they can only see 1 sack, and later at our 8 week scan we had 2 heartbeats. I am not suggesting you may see 2 heartbeats next week but that it is probably just a bit early 6+4. Good luck next week

scans: how often in late twin pregnancy?

Hi Cathy, I was also scanned every 4 weeks + midwife + consultant appointments in between so by 32 weeks and onwards I was seen by someone every week and last scan was at 36 weeks and from 36 weeks I was monitored every other day at the hospital (BP, urine, foetal trace). And I had no health problems it was just the girls had difference in their weight like yours (according to scan). I would advise same as Ros call them even before the midwife appointment and insist they see you . Also did they ...

Incompetent cervix

Hi Tina, I had the treatment in 2004 and I then carried my twin girls in 2009 up to 37+2 (planed c section) no problems there, but I guess we are all different. It will be a good idea if you make sure they measure your cervix at every scan just to be on the safe side. Good Luck Eli

Feeling like a useless mum

Hi Deby1, First and most important thing You are not bad mum, as a matter of fact you are the best mum for your little man . I started using infacol and it did not work for us, so we used Colief and I swear by it best thing ever , you have to use it with every feed thou for it to work, I did not know you can get it on prescription so we used to buy it from boots x2(twins) we stopped using it at 12ish week. As the others say it does get better from 12 weeks I promise. I never Brest fed so I do no...

very tight bump with twins?

Hi Cathy, I used a belt from about 25 weeks and I can highly recommend it gives you a bit of extra support, it was just enough for me. I used to put it on when I wake up and take it off at night. It was about £30 in mothercare but it worth every penny(for me). My bump was huge at 30 weeks I measured as much as a singleton and it grew even bigger the last 7 weeks but as the others say it is all worth it at the end.

What to buy for 4/5 month old twins to sit up in...

Hi Ladies, We had 2 bumbo style chairs – life savers we used it for about 4 months , and when the girls were a bit too small to be in a high chair at 6 months we used it to feed them in it(started weaning at 6 months). 2 bouncers – again used it for a good 1 year, would recommend. 2 play gyms(presies) – absolutely useless , the girls would get bored of them in 5 minutes 1 door bouncer – they liked it and we used it for only like 1 month ( 15 minutes 2 times a day) 1 walker – also good use for ab...

Are you taking Iron tablets now, I believe it is very important to take it and make sure it is with orange juice or water, NO milk. If you are not it is a good idea if you start taking these straight away even if it is for 2-3 weeks ( and I hope it is more like 4-5 weeks) it will make a lot of difference.(it did for me).
