Cravings!!

I only got cravings in the 2nd Trimester, my weirdest craving was a bowl of pickled onions with a glass of milk the thought of it now makes me heave. I also had the fridge stocked up with orange lucozade which I haven't touched since.

Maternity pay??

Thanks flic! I suppose a lot of people often think about where they stand when it comes to returning to work especially when the LO comes into your world and turns it upside down ha ha! Told my bosses today that I wouldn't be going back to work, they said they were gutted because I had been working for them for years but understood my reasons which was really nice of them. So glad everything is out in the open now Thanks again ladies for putting my mind at rest xxx

Maternity pay??

Thanks ladies for all your advice, it makes sense now. I don't want to hand in my notice until a month before my maternity leave is up but my bosses will know I have moved away because I live in a close knit community where everyone knows each others business so I don't know whether to tell them and then give my written notice a month before maternity leave is up. Are they meant to by law pay my maternity pay up until 38 weeks even if I give my notice in this month and state that my leaving date...

Maternity pay??

Hiya!! Just wondering if anyone has been in the same boat or knows the answer to my question. I started my Maternity leave on 4th December and am taking the full 39 weeks leave and getting SMP, I was planning to return to work part time after but circumstances have now changed because my husband has been offered a new job in a new area and we have sold our home so I won't be returning to my job. I thought I was entitled to SMP even if I don't return to work but my cousin told me I would have to ...

overdue, what to do??

Hi All!! Really fed up now, still no sign of baby making an appearance. Had a sweep done yesterday which wasn't that bad actually, the midwife even tapped the baby on the head and he still didn't wake up..lazy boy hehe!! No show yet and now Im just going to have to continue waiting now until Saturday when I have a second sweep done and given an appointment to be induced which I really hope won't come to that but if it gets the little snoozer on his way then so be it. Nice to hear from you again ...

overdue, what to do??

Thanks for all your advice ladies much appreciated! Still nothing to report, I have walked about all day, been on the gym ball and had a bath. DH refuses the speedbump idea unfortunately because he said it might damage the car ha ha!! Someone else said trampolining but I don't think that can be safe. Oh well I suppose bubs will make an appearance when he is good and ready haha! Bring on the sweep!!! xxx

overdue, what to do??

Hi Everyone! I am overdue by 4 days now and due to have a sweep next Wednesday but I don't want it to come to that, any suggestions of what can help bubs along would be great. I have done the usual things like walking, hot curries (bad heartburn won't be doing that one again) and sex with DH ( very comfortable..yeah right hehe!) so I am looking for new things to try. Also if anyone has had a sweep can you let me know what it is like as my SIL said it was painful for her but I said after all the ...

Things they don't tell you before you get pregnant!

These posts are hilarious Im just over 5 months at the moment and have found it impossible to just bend down to pick something off the floor I have to squat which looks bloody awful especially in work when I dropped some paperwork on the floor just as a delivery man walked through the door, the look of panic on his face when he saw a puffing and panting pregnant woman squatting on the floor was soo funny, ahh and he was only a young lad too

Anyone had EC at St. James Leeds

Hi Fizzalfie! I had IVF at St James, egg collection wasn't a very pleasant experience but hey everyone has different experiences so dont worry . IVF worked for me and I would gladly go through EC again a thousand times over if it meant I was going to get a BFP. Its been about 4 months since I had it and I can hardly remember it, the best advice is to relax and don't think about it too much..I know better said than done but try hun Good Luck vic xx

Flying while pregnant

Im only 10 weeks pregnant at the moment but my honeymoon will be at 27 weeks, Im only going on a short haul (cyprus) but was told by Thomson that I will need a letter from GP or MW to say the pregnancy is uncomplicated and I am fit to fly. I think a lot of pregnant ladies will try to fit a holiday in before they have their babies because we all don't know when are next one will be Hope you have a lovely time!
