Advice needed on baby not meeting development milestones, very worried mummy xx

Hi All, I'm getting myself worked up about my little girl who is 13 months old (adjusted age 11.5 months) and was hoping to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation ... My doctor has referred my daughter to the paediatrician for a development check because she isn't rolling, isn't bearing weight on her legs and is making no attempts to get mobile. She can sit unsupported but often slouches (although she can sit straight backed sometimes). I have been looking on the internet and cereb...

Question C section or Natural Birth with Twins

I wanted a section all the way through my pregnancy but my consultant was very much for the natural delivery! I too was petrified of what could go wrong with a natural birth and thought the safest way would be to have a section. However, I went into labour at 33 weeks and ended up delivering them naturally - twin 1 was head down and I delivered twin 2 breech. I felt very relaxed and knew I was in safe hands and am very pleased that the decision was taken out of my hands lol. It's a tough decisio...

Success naturally after our first Child was through ICSI

Hi, congratulations! Really interested in these posts, I've been thinking of asking about this but not got round to it - did you do anything different which could have increased sperm count?

Really sorry for late reply - I posted a couple of weeks ago and then dissappeared - how rude lol, just been kept quite busy :-) Hope, massive congratulations to you it brought a tear to my eye reading your post, partly because of the hormones still pumping round my body and also because it brought back memories of my labour - mine was also long and difficult BUT well worth it and I'd go through it a hundred times again if it meant having my babies :-) I hope you're doing ok and healing well and...

I feel like my heart is going to burst everytime I look at them! It seems surreal that just earlier this year we were starting the ivf and now we have 2 beautiful daughters, it's amazing!! Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been on here for aaaaaggggeeesss, you've probably forgotten me by now lol but just wanted to let you know that I had my twins on 21st December - my due date was 3rd Feb so it was a bit of a shock when I went into labour lol. They are both doing ok although still in NICU until they are well enough to come home - hopefully it won't be long! It doesn't seem 2 minutes since I started the ivf and what a rollercoaster that was and I feel for you all who are going through i...

Mim - sorry but I don't know anything about the nt scans apart from the absolute basics, twin 1 came back at 1:5000 and twin 2 at 1:2000, I was worried about these results - what were other people's results like? Fingers crossed all will go well for you though xx Miss Purple, lol at you comment about wanting to be big - I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and i am BIG!! ** SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT **

Hi there! Wow, October has flown by for me too - I can't believe it is November, I am starting to get panicked about getting things sorted - our house is a mess and it is beginning to really stress me out!! I spend most of the day worrying that things aren't going to be sorted in time and it's making me really annoyed at OH that he's not pulled his finger out and got to work with it (no meaning to be sexist but things need doing to the house that I just can't do!) Is this a normal 'side effect' ...

Congratulations Namea! Hope your babies are doing ok, have you picked names yet?xxx Fuzzy Bee, yep if your twins are non-identical then you will have double the hormones, but if they are identical then it's just the normal amount of hormones as a single pregnancy (or so I was told) Something to do with having 2 placentas with the non-identical twins! Poor us! Rachael, how's the braxton hicks? I think I get these although I have read that they're not supposed to be painful, just like a tightenin...

** SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT **

Hi Everyone, I posted in here when I first reached the second trimester but I'm rubbish and haven't posted since - i'm 25 weeks now lol. Sorry! Miss Purple, I am expecting twins - and have one anterior placenta and one posterior. I am only just starting to feel the baby with anterior placenta kick whereas I've been feeling the other one since 17/18 weeks! So it does make a big difference to how much movement you can feel. Also, the kicks are much stronger with the baby with the posterior placent...

My infertility and IVF treatment is of no benefit to the company I work for and isn't life threatening to me (statement from my boss)!!!!

Hiya hun, omg I am so mad reading your post!!! I kind of know how you feel - i work for a care agency too and know what they can be like lol. When I went through tx I felt extra pressure and worry trying to re arrange my rota. At the end of the day though, all you need is a letter from the doctor stating you're unfit to work and that's it. I got a form from the doctor which meant I could carry on at work but on light duties (I got this when I was on my 2ww and am still on light duties now). Your...

Hayley, I ordered my pram yesterday - got the baby jogger city select and I have ordered the carrycots to go with it too. I've heard the babies shouldn't be in the car seats for more than 2 hours and also that they should be able to lie flat. It feels quite strange pushing a tandem pram - i feel like I should get a bell to put on it to warn people I'm coming through lol. Would be quite helpful to know whether you're going to buy 2 cots or 1 and will you be putting them in seperate moses baskets ...

** SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT **

Hi everyone, thought i'd introduce myself - I'm now 15 weeks pregnant with twins and have been reading on this thread but not posted until now because it all just seems so surreal still, like it's not really happening to me lol! I've luckily not had any morning sickness but my god i've been ill with headaches! Had one nearly every day for the past 7 weeks or so, most days have to go to bed they are so bad. Doctor and midwife don't seem concerned as my blood pressure is ok but I am starting to ge...

how many eggs can they put back ?

Hiya, I'm in my 20s and on my first go at ivf on the nhs they put 2 back and luckily they both have stuck and I'm expecting twins! They had told me that their policy is only to put 1 back apart from if only 2 of the fertilised eggs survive to transfer day then in that case they will put both back rather than risk freezing just one and it not thawing successfully :-) Maybe worth asking them if they will do this if you only end up with 2 suitable embies? xxx

Hi everyone! Sorry I've not been on here for ages, hope everyone's doing ok? Linzi - congratulations on being pupo!! The dreaded 2ww (more like a 3ww at st mary's lol). I was like you and tested 14dpt but to be honest with you it caused a lot of panic for me because I was constantly thinking that by the time I got to my otd that the test would change to bfn. Luckily it didn't but it was still stressful having to still wait til otd! As for symptoms, I can't really remember but I know I was convin...

Oh VickyLou I'm so sorry to hear this, what a sad day how are you holding up? I had such positive vibes for you and am gutted now. Like I said to Pnda, you need to take some time to have a good cry and a few drinks, and spend some time with your OH. Really hope it gets easier for you hun as time goes on xxx

Panda this is so upseting, I got a lump in my throat ready to cry when I read your post. It's just so cruel that you got to OTD without af arriving, it must have been a horrible shock when you got the result and poor you having to go back to work!! Like Hope says, a holiday sounds like a good plan, it will do you both good to get away from everything and have a relax with just the two of you. I really hope you both get through this and find the strength to have another go - your time to be a mum...
