Handling Bereavement

oh chicks im so sorry sweetheart we have been through something very similar recently and i know what you mean about not wanting to expose them to more pain than they need to be. with spud we carried on as normal with visits and things, if Baz was there then spud saw him, we had lots and lots of chats about what medicines and things he would need and that when baz had chemo his hair was likely to fall out but the chemo was very important, i never once told him that baz WAS going to die... we car...

Hairy Hairy

me too! im hairy and i hate it. i seem to spend my whole life shaving/plucking/waxing parts of me and it is endless. it really makes me laugh that my dh doesnt think im hairy i must do a good job of hiding it! i wish there was some magic way of getting rid of it, i thought losing weight would help with it but it hasnt really made any difference. i think PCOS is a mean nasty syndrome.

short nasal bone increasing Downs risk at 20 wks

some babies have teeny tiny button noses that grow as they do, it worries a pg lady when they throw these things at them, could you maybe get some questions together on a list and phone them and ask them? ask them if they have stats to back up the short nasal bone theory? knowing your nuchal fold scan came back ok is definatly a very good sign presh. and you know that you will love these babies with all your heart, no matter what. i hope everything goes ok at your NHS scan, will try to pop in to...

why are some people so rubbish with children?

he really was joking, he wouldnt steal money from a child he was just doing it to make spud upset...he is a tit! im not the only one who has meanies in my family then! i do seriously think there is something wrong with some people...i never ever take my two to visit my brother, and we only usually see him when he wants something tbh so it isnt very often. he still has got alot of growing up to do...and he is 37! 1x, my brother does the play fighting thing with spud too, and then expects spud to ...

why are some people so rubbish with children?

you are right girls, they act like children dont they? i am actually sure my brother would have given spud his money back, but i didnt give him a chance...he was way out of order and i cut it all short, think he was a tad shocked at how i reacted.....like any mom wouldnt do the same, infact looking back he is lucky he didnt get a thick lip! havent seen him since thankfully! they are just complete wind up merchants and they cant get away with it with us adults so they do it to children!

why are some people so rubbish with children?

i have noticed since i have had my two bubbas that there are some poeple, usually men actually that are completely cr@p with children. they torment them poke them and prod them to get a reaction and then when the child has a go back the person thinks the child is being naughty! i have an uncle (who has children himself) that winds spud up till he is nearly in tears so i dont take him to see them any more, but he does things like....saying my moms dog is actually his dog so spud gets upset. he ta...

Anyone know a good cradle cap treatment?

i was using johnsons baby shampoo on H and she started getting cradle cap in her eyebrows and all over her head. i had some head and sholders shampoo and tried a tiny bit on her and it worked beautifully her head is completely clear now. i know some people wouldnt use an adult shampoo but when i think about all the other things i was slapping on her a bit of shampoo the size of a 5p didnt seem so bad...i was very careful that it didnt got near her eyes tho...and then little H has skin like a rhi...

My Scan Updates

oooo hun 5 weeks is so so early! when i was having spud i bled alot and had to have an early scan, they saw nothing...not even a sac at 5 weeks, i went back a week later and there was a sac and little heart beat. honestly hand on heart hun 5 weeks is so early to be able to see anything at all so the fact that there is a sac is fantastic! please dont give up on your precious little jelly bean, if they had waited a few more days the scan could have been so much more positive. sending you lots of l...

** SCANS - QUESTIONS AND CHAT **

that really is rubbish hun, like you said, you might want to have an amneo. the only thing i can think is to ask to speak to someone in charge of her and explain your situation to them. there must be something they can do, even if it is just to put you on a list incase there is a cancellation. love k xxx

Controlled crying?

CC really works and it has saved my sanity more than once! after H had chicken pox she got used to waking up and expecting us to rush to her with milk or to give hugs etc up to 10 times a night, i sent dh and spud camping for a weekend and i did CC with her. it isnt nice, it does upset you to hear your baby crying but ultimatly they are learning to settle themselves and fall asleep by them selves. it is bloody brilliant! if they are awake but grizzling i would leave them to it, sometimes they ju...
